The Braxtons are coming back to WE tv to honor Traci Braxton.
“Braxton Family Values” fans figured The Braxtons were done with reality television after Tamar Braxton attempted to take her life. At the time, Tamar was very stressed out and unhappy with how she felt she was portrayed on the show and her spin-off. After calling WE tv out publicly, Tamar decided to leave BFV. And she was released from her contract.
Tamar was also in a tumultuous relationship with a man named David Adefeso. Interestingly enough, Tamar was also not in a good place with Traci Braxton. They clashed onscreen and the drama spilled over onto social media as well. So when the show wrapped up, some fans concluded that moving on from the show was the only way the sisters could fix their broken relationship.
Sometime after “Braxton Family Values” was canceled, Traci passed away from cancer. Towanda Braxton told her supporters that she wished BFV was still around because the family had so many stories to tell, especially their grieving process. Well, Towanda’s wish was granted. WE tv recently released the first look at “The Braxtons.” The show will follow Tamar, Towanda, Trina Braxton, Toni Braxton, and Evelyn Braxton’s personal and professional lives. The ladies return this August.
In the trailer, the family confirms they are returning to television to honor Traci’s final wish.
Toni says, “The main reason for doing the Braxtons again is because of Traci.”
Evelyn adds, “She asked us to do this. This was her last wish.”
Towanda says returning was about telling Traci’s story, “I think it’s important for us to return to tell Traci’s story.”
In the past, Traci has also expressed her love for filming BFV. At one point, her passion put her at odds with her sisters as she refused to join them in boycotting for higher pay.

Nope. Tamar is exhausting and the way they treated Traci and her family never sat right with me. I may check out clips here and there at most. But I’m definitely not watching full episodes.
So they literally returned to the network Tamar said almost killed her and we’re not supposed to side eye them for it? This wasn’t for Traci. Clearly everyone needed the check 🤷🏾♀️
Agreed .. time to table this show and I loved it. Tamar for sure should not be a part of it. For not only for our sanity but apparently hers as well. Dang sure out of respect for traci’s memory
I feel the same exact way. It should be in honor of her because I got on WETV when the group left Traci at the time to carry the show by herself and I wasn’t happy about that at all.
They treated Traci like sh-t while she was alive with the exception of Trina. The North remembers. F-ck this new show.
Yes.. Not only did they treat Tracy like s*** they have the nerve to boycott her funeral that her husband of 30 years who supported her non-conditionally through her because they said he was doing it for money and didn’t know her. And then they want to say they have Traci’s story to tell? Insanity. Traci’s family needs to be on their own show. Great husbands and great kids/grandkids, brother Michael dad and his wife Wanda all good people
They are going to honor Tracy? Does that mean they are going to apologize for how they treated her and her family? Do they plan on letting Tamara know she’s an adult not a two year old? Will they be taking accountability? They need them checks.
They should be ASHAMED they should have treated her better when she was ALIVE…Don’t say your bringing the show back in honor of Traci when you all did not HONOR her when she was ALIVE….This return to TV us for the MONEY PERIOD!
