The State of Alabama dismisses Maurice Scott’s DUI case.

Love and Marriage; Huntsville” star Maurice Scott received some excellent news regarding his DUI case late last week. On November 15th, The State of Alabama issued a motion of Nolle Prosse as they are seeking to no longer prosecute Maurice for the charge he received Memorial Day weekend.

Previously, Maurice was arrested in Huntsville, Alabama, Memorial Day weekend on a misdemeanor Driving Under the Influence charge and was released on a $5,000 bond. On June 10th, Maurice’s attorney motioned to dismiss the case. In that motion, they claimed Huntsville and the state of Alabama did not have enough evidence to charge him. They also claimed the instrument used to charge Maurice for DUI in the first place violated due process of the law.

The state filed the Nolle Prosse motion and will waive his bail bond fee and all court costs. This case will be chronicled during this current LAMH season.

This is positive news for a show whose cast has been marred in multiple criminal and civil cases. This includes the ongoing legal saga for Martell Holt, who is appealing his Domestic Violence conviction. A judge is scheduled to hear this appeal in an Alabama court next month.

Meanwhile, Destiny Payton is in court in her ongoing divorce proceedings and has a hearing in her identity theft case later this month. In her case, Destiny is fighting being held in contempt and owes her ex-husband, LaBerrick Williams, almost $18,000. This amount includes payments for medical costs involving their child and late mortgage payments.

  1. OH LAWD!

Now, this is real life. I wish the best for all of the the cast members. They are influential Blacks who are showing their real lives and rolling the dice for fame and fortune. It can’t be easy but hopefully, it’s worth it.

Please send Sunni & Moses back to where they came from. Their addition is not an asset in my book. Although it’s real and it happens all the time, saving face at the expense of others doesn’t provide any positive rewards.

    Team Destiny!

  2. I’m glad things worked out. Someone I know went through the same thing and the cops lied. They’re an attorney as well.
