On the latest episode of “Raising Kanan,” Kanan and Jukebox want revenge for Famous’ death. Unique officially lets Raq know he’s alive. Here is the recap for, “The Price of Fame.”
Famous’ death is hard to accept.
Marvin, Lou Lou, Raq, Kanan, and Jukebox all head to the bar to honor Famous. Kanan is angry and wants revenge on the killer. Jukebox surprises him when she says she wants in on his payback. Kanan storms off after Raq tells him that Famous wouldn’t want him to do anything stupid.
Kanan and Juke aren’t the only ones thirsty for revenge. Lou tells Raq he’ll do the deed himself. He has a sad reunion with Famous’ sister Jessica. She tearfully hugs Lou when she sees him.
Raq and Marvin meet up with David to push him to get their product delivery on track. Since Marvin just killed Terry, David’s brother, they will have to depend on him to keep things afloat. So Raq assigns Marvin the duty to stay on David. However, David was the unserious one out of the two brothers. So Marvin will have his work cut out for him.
Rumors spread about Famous’ demise.
Kanan tells O-Cee and the rest of his crew he will pay top dollar for info on Fame’s murder.
A detective comes by to ask Famous’ mom Olga about who could have killed him. He says Fame was working with the NYPD on a case concerning a slain officer. His mother doesn’t want to hear any of it since the police didn’t take her seriously when she told them Famous was missing.
Now that Unique has Russo and his crew on board, he goes out to buy new jewelry and clean himself up for his official return. He’ll meet with Russo’s associate Akbar soon to add more soldiers.
Lou’s mom Joyce tells him Marvin was a coward for not taking her out of her misery like she begged him to. She wants Lou to help her die peacefully because living with cancer is too much. But Lou understands why Marvin couldn’t do it. He tells Joyce that killing her would destroy him.
Kanan learns from O-Cee and the others that Freddy Wilds’ crew took out Famous for killing Freddy. He later drives up to where they hang out but leaves when he sees one of them is armed. Meanwhile, Juke gleefully has target practice by shooting glasses with Marvin’s gun.
Lou nearly relapses.
Lou goes to the bar but decides to call Jessica to keep him from drinking. They talk about how much they miss Famous and leave together.
Marvin confronts Juke about taking his gun to target practice. He worries that her killing her friend’s ex-husband has made her go dark. And he wants her to be better than him.
Jessica accompanies Lou to the studio. He can’t get his mind off Famous. Killing those responsible is all he wants to do. Jessica suggests they make love instead. Lou is fine with this.
Kanan goes to Marvin and Juke’s place. He asks Juke if she’s serious about getting revenge, and she says yes before grabbing Marvin’s gun.
Imani figures out that Lou has been messing around with Jessica again when she finds her necklace in the studio. She storms out before Lou can explain himself.
Unique wants Raq to know he’s back.
Jukebox and Kanan confront Freddy’s associates, with their guns drawn. They deny having anything to do with Famous’ death. Freddy treated them terribly and stole from them. Someone at the barbershop said dirty cops killed Fame because he was getting ready to talk.
Lou returns Jessica’s necklace to her. She says she is going back to LA, and Olga is going with her this time. She wants Lou to come as well, but he’s staying put.
When Raq makes it back to her home after a long day, she sees Unique on her countertop eating her favorite ice cream, butter pecan.
