Karen Huger could be released this year.

Real Housewives of Potomac” star Karen Huger didn’t make it to last season’s reunion due to her pending legal issues. At the time, reports stated Karen missed the Season 9 reunion because she had checked herself into rehab for alcoholism. As we reported, Karen had been convicted of DUI despite saying she would be vindicated throughout the season. Wendy Osefo questioned if Karen had only gone to rehab to lessen her sentence. Andy Cohen and Gizelle Bryant said it would be the smart thing to do. They’d do the same, so they didn’t see the issue with her checking herself into rehab. Regardless, Karen was still sentenced to 12 months in prison.

Some RHOP fans have wondered how the show will move forward in the absence of the Grande Dame. Interestingly enough, new reports are saying that Karen could be released in November of this year. According to OK! Magazine, Karen was denied a work release.

Her application was approved by a corrections officer. However, the judge denied it.

Karen will have to serve the remainder of her sentence at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility. The publication suspects Karen could be released this November since she’s served two months and has been earning good behavior credit.
