Leading Your Loved Ones To God

You can lead a person to God, but it is up to them to keep a relationship with Him.

Having a close relationship with God is a wonderful thing to have. You can come to Him when you are in need of strength and guidance. He is always there to listen to you and answer your prayers. He is the one that you can always count on no matter what. Once we have established that close bond with our Creator, we often look for our loved ones to do the same. Unfortunately, that is not always an easy thing to do.

As a person who knows the importance of having a relationship with God, you can lead your family and friends in the right direction. You can encourage them to go to church with you, fellowship with other church goers, pray with you and really grow to understand the word of God. You can do all these things but there comes a point where someone else’s relationship with God is out of our hands. We can try to influence them all day long and preach to them about becoming closer to God. But until that person finds it in their heart to follow in God’s footsteps, then there is not much you can do other than to pray for them. Pray that they one day will find God like you did and come to know Him as you do.

We all have our own spiritual revelations at different stages of our lives. Some of us have them at very young ages while others don’t really turn to God until they are adults. Having a spiritual connection with God should be what every believer strives to have. But if those we are closest to are not yet willing to come to God, we can not force it upon their hearts. With prayer and time, they will seek Him on their own.

  1. This is a very important message. I have been struggling recently with someone in this area. He believes in God however sometimes his faith wavers and its difficult to make him understand the bigger picture. I bought him a Bible and when things are going tough I tell him scriptures to read and passages to key in on. I feel like its the only thing I can do until he starts to see it for himself. In the meantime I am Praying!
