We told you last year that Adult Swim confirmed “The Boondocks” would be returning sometime this month, but midway through the month there still has been no signs of a new season premiering, thus making a January 2014 return seem unlikely.
In fact, we haven’t seen any promotional material or commercials related to the upcoming season and it’s been quiet since Adult Swim hinted that the show would return in January of 2014.
But now the network has confirmed an official date for the return of the hit animated show, and season four will premiere April 21 at 10:30pm EST.
The show has been in hiatus since August 2010. Check out the official announcement below:

I was just wondering about this show because I thought it would come back on this month. But it’s worth the wait.
I’m giving Adult Swim the side eye. They first said it would be this month, and now April? If they push it back again, I’m going down to ATL and whooping a-s at the Cartoon Network offices.
I just hope they didn’t water it down because of the backlash it got over the whole Obama thing.
