K. Michelle’s introduction on Love And Hip Hop Atlanta was surely an epic moment in reality television. The back story, which involved the revelation of an abusive ex boyfriend, which turned out to be Toya Wright’s husband Memphitz, immediately got the whole internet and urban gossip blogs talking about K. Michelle’s heart breaking past that left her without a record deal and beefing with Memphitz’s new wife Toya. Although we’ve watched K. Michelle grow and continue to pursue her passion of singing and reestablishing her music career, there still really wasn’t much closure to her past, which Memphitz still continues to deny. Rumored to be the ultimate keeper to reality drama, the latest gossip bits suggest that show creator Mona Scott Young is in talks with Memphitz to convince him to show up to the Love And Hip Hop Atlanta Reunion special to confront K. Michelle.
Here’s what sources told The Jasmine Brand:
The rumors surrounding Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta are running rampant today. According to one of our insiders, there is a slight possibility that Memphitz may appear on the reunion show. Just to give you a bit of the back-story, Memphitz (is currently married to Toya Wright, the ex-wife of Lil Wayne) was once romantically linked to LHHA’s K.Michelle. K.Michelle alleges that when they were in a relationship together, Memphitz was physically abusive to her. K.Michelle shared her story as a former domestic abuse victim to a few media outlets. Memphitz adamantly denied ever being physically abusive to K.Michelle.
Fast forward to the present day, and we hear that the show’s executive producer (Mona Scott-Young) is trying to encourage Memphitz to appear on the reunion show, in the hopes of ending their feud and to provide K.Michelle with some sort of closure. My question to you is, do you think it would be a good idea for Memphitz to appear on the show? Would that provide K.Michelle with closure? Or would that ruin Memphitz’s image? Chime in on your thoughts!
I really hope this isn’t true. Especially since Mona has known K. Michelle for the last few years (she was even going to put her on the first Love And Hip Hop until they both realized she wouldn’t be a good fit with some of the other girls, ahem Chrissy), and K. Michelle considers her somewhat of a mentor and friend.
Just sayin…
This would be wrong on so many levels. An abuser will always lie and say he’s innocent and why put K. Michelle through those old emotions again just for ratings? I really hope Mona isn’t that low of a person.
Oh Lord. Please tell me she’s not going to do this. Everyone needs to move on from the situation. Both sides are sticking to their story and there’s no proof that it did or didn’t happen. Why have him on the show to taunt her?
Didn’t this guy and his wife just try to humiliate K on Instagram a few weeks ago. That was closure. There’s nothing else to say to either of those idiots, him or his wife.
Agreed! There’s absolutely no need to have him on the show. K. seems to be healing and moving forward just fine.

Nice gesture I guess, but there’s no need to do this. Most women who were abused don’t seek closure by seeing their abusers again. And K. doesn’t need to either.
True but we know it’s not really about closure with this woman. It’s all about ratings, and she’ll do whatever she has to do to keep them high. I hate that K. Michelle stays getting used by the people she trusts.
SMH oh Mona please. Everything she does is for ratings. She’s nothing but another Shaunie. She doesn’t care about giving K. closure, she cares about making people watch the reunion and making money. Mona is nothing but a snake.
Basically. And she’s filthy rich because of this mess. I know reality tv depends on drama, but don’t put a former victim back through the abuse.
I thought Mona and K. Michelle were cool peoples. Why would Mona put a good friend and Mentee through such anguish?
I’ve heard this too. Makes me think that Mona just befriended K. Michelle just to get her on the show.
Well Yandy was also a mentee of Mona’s and she still staged that confrontation between her and Chrissy. So yeah, Monica doesn’t give a damn. She’ll do anything for ratings. Even screw over her “mentees.”
Mona is such a snake.
