Kandi Burruss Engaged to Todd Tucker

Is Kandi Burruss engaged? We reported recently that Kandi Burruss might have gotten engaged to Todd Tucker during the holidays. However, it was merely just gossip and no one was able to confirm anything at the time. Kandi has been vocal in her desire to make things official and marry her beau Todd, and it’s been clear in her interviews and so far in season five of Real Housewives of Atlanta that the couple is in a very good place. Todd has made Kandi extremely happy, so it’s no surprise that she does want to marry him. Todd has been very loyal to Kandi and almost lost his production job to be with her. It’s no doubt that these two are serious about each other. So when it became apparent that Kandi is continuously hiding her left hand in all of her recent photographs, many people began to speculate that Kandi and Todd are engaged.

Well now we can confirm that Kandi Burruss is engaged to Todd Tucker. The happy couple broke the news exclusively to US Weekly and it’s being reported that Todd popped the question on New Year’s.

Tucker, 39, popped the question on New Year’s Day, during a New Year’s celebration with friends at the couple’s home in Atlanta. (Among the party guests was fellow Atlanta Housewife Phaedra Parks, who’s currently expecting her second child with husband Apollo Nida.) After talking it over with

Burruss’ daughter, 10-year-old Riley — who gave him her blessing — he got down on one knee and proposed to his love of more than a year with a two-carat diamond sparkler by Gregg Ruth.

The singer-songwriter, 36 — who has been engaged once before, to the late Ashley “A.J.” Jewell — was floored. “I was totally surprised,” she tells Us of the romantic proposal, adding that she even shed a few happy tears.

 

While the couple still isn’t quite sure if they will wed in front of Bravo cameras, they do have two dates in mind for their big day. The details still aren’t clear regarding their ceremony, but Kandi tells the publication that Todd has changed her life forever:

“I used to make jokes with my friends that I [was] part of the Forever Single Club. That’s what I said before, but now I’m totally different.”
