Naomi Campbell Blames Her Violent and Angry Reputation on Alcohol

Naomi Campbell is without a doubt one of the most successful supermodels of all time. The beauty knows how to strut her stuff on the catwalk like no other and has opened doors for other big name black models in a an industry that hasn’t always been so open to diversity. Despite Naomi’s impressive caliber of work and supermodel resume, Naomi’s past behavior off of the runway leaves a lot to be desired and has been criticized for years. The model has gotten into numerous altercations and confrontations with other models and even those who were in positions to offer her service. Rather it’s throwing cell phones in people’s faces or bringing other supermodels like Tyra Banks to tears backstage at fashion shows, Naomi has been penned as somewhat of a bully and brat of the modeling industry. But now that’s she’s a little older and in love with a billionaire, she admits that she’s a lot more calmer these days. And according to the model, it’s because she’s given up drinking.

In a recent interview with Life & Style Magazine, Naomi says:

“If people think they know me, they can think again. Most people think they know me because they say, ‘We’ve seen your pictures here and there for years,’ but when I’m not working or anything, I try to live a private, quiet life …

“I gave up drinking alcohol. Not drinking makes me a lot happier.”

Naomi also admits that traveling frequently has also kept her in the best of spirits:

“I’m a gypsy. I want to see the new wonders of the world and spend quality time with the people I love.”
