Is K. Michelle leaving Love and Hip Hop Atlanta? K. Michelle became one of the breakout stars of the hit reality show quickly when she told her story involving her ex boyfriend Memphitz. K. Michelle accused the music executive of abusing her while they were in a relationship, and although Memphitz denied the accusations and eventually filed suit against her, K. Michelle is still standing by her claims. In addition to her story, she was also explosive with quite a few of her cast mates, and her latest beef is with former friend Mimi Faust. In a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, she revealed that she thinks Mimi’s boyfriend is on the “down low.” Of course Mimi took offense to the statements, and an argument backstage led to K. Michelle hitting Mimi in the face with flowers backstage at one of her shows.
K. Michelle did claim in the interview that she was considering leaving the reality show and focusing on her music career, but now it appears that her altercation with Mimi sped up her decision.
At her recent show the other night in D.C., the R&B singer confirmed that the upcoming season of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta would be her last.
In an exclusive interview with Aladdin”Prince of the Airwayz” for AimerAmour Magazine, she claims that she won’t have a whole lot of camera time with her cast mates after the first few episodes, and after her blow up with Mimi (which Mona managed to get on film), she spends the rest of her time in the studio for the most part.
It’s kind of hard to imagine Love and Hip Hop Atlanta without K. Michelle, but she’s managed to used the show to get the one thing she really wanted, a record deal. Some of her fans feel she’s making a huge mistake walking away from the show, but K. Michelle feels it’s just too much negativity to hold on to as she says she’s not even getting along with any of her cast mates anymore.
