Rapper T.I. isn’t a stranger to going all the way off on the social networks. And when we think about it, that makes sense considering that he’s always been pretty forward about how he feels in his music and even in his interviews. The bulk of T.I.’s rants, however, have been in defense of his family, especially his wife Tiny. As we all know, social media can be a cruel place, and people pushed T.I. to his limits recently when he posted a picture of Tiny on Instagram and people began to write how unattractive they thought she was in the comment section. T.I. ended up dragging a few of his female fans for disrespecting his wife on his account.

T.I.’s most recent rant wasn’t about his wife this time, but actually regarding his close friend and fellow rapper Lil Wayne. As we recently reported, Lil Wayne ended up in the hospital last week due to multiple seizures, but TMZ made things chaotic after they claimed the rapper was on his death-bed. Close friends and family of course denied the reports and slammed the website for reporting what they claim were lies, and T.I. blasted the website on his Twitter account for allegedly getting the story wrong.

In a recent interview with omg!, the rapper explains why he went off on the website. He says:

“I was with him last night. “He is doing fine. We were actually watching the game and he’s hoping the Lakers go to the finals.

“Listen man, I’m all about doing what’s right, and I don’t have any personal beefs or conflicts with anyone. I’m just about doing what’s right and when you put things out of such a graphic nature that are inaccurate, I think you then put children, mothers, families through unnecessary grief.”

T.I. says that he understands with fame comes speculation and gossip, but he still feels that the media should still have its limits:

“And don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that anybody is above the media, above paparazzi, gossip, but some things should be off limits and I mean just out of respect for children. Even if you don’t respect this particular artist, out of respect of their children, out of respect of their mothers, the people who hurt the most when they hear this inaccurate story, that’s when it really hits. That’s what really got me hot.”

  1. T.I. has a point, but his rant Twitter rant was ignorant. At the end of the day, Lil Wayne needs to leave the syrup alone. I feel like they are all tap dancing around the real issue and using TMZ as a scapegoat.

  2. Sorry. Can’t agree. When you’re famous, people will be all up in your business. And sometimes the media won’t always get the story right. No need to rant, just make sure Wayne leaves the syrup alone.

  3. I love T.I. but I have to wonder does he feel that passionate when Lil Wayne disrespects people mother, father, sisters, daughters, aunts, cousins and most importantly the family of Emmett Tilman.

  4. TIP is just kissing Lil Wayne’s a-s as usual. It amazes me how they don’t ever check him for the things that he says and does. Punks.
