Shaquille O’Neal‘s former mistress Vanessa Lopez get ditched by her lawyer? Shaquille O’Neal’s inability to stay faithful has been one rumor that hasn’t lost any steam. And neither has the talk of the former NBA superstar’s many mistresses that he supposedly had on the side, many thinking that that was what caused his marriage to Shaunie O’Neal to come to an end. Though Shaunie and Shaq have moved on to other people and gone their separate ways, Shaq’s past continues to haunt him still as one of his alleged mistresses is not even trying to let him forget about it. Shaquille O’Neal’s former mistress Vanessa Lopez filed a lawsuit against Shaq, Vanessa claiming that Shaq allegedly threatened her and caused her emotional distress once he thought that she was pregnant and accused her of sleeping with another man. Vanessa even was trying to go to the extent of trying to depose Shaq’s former teammate Kobe Bryant. Shaq apparently had enough of Vanessa and her attempt to supposedly out him as he filed a protective order against her. Now Attorney Gloria Allred, who is used to taking on controversial cases and was representing Vanessa, has formally withdrawn as her lawyer, Allred citing fraud in court documents exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.

Here’s the report:

Allred formally filed a motion withdraw as Lopez’s counsel and cited Florida Rules of Judicial Administration and Florida Rules Regulating the Florida, as the reason for the request.

According to the court documents, “Despite engaging in all reasonable, diligent and exhaustive effort on behalf of the client, counsel must withdraw as continued representation will likely result in one or more ethical violations of the Rules of Professional Conduct or Law as more particularly set forth in sub parts (a)(1)4) and (5) of the referenced Rule.”

The rule Allred cites in the motion states, “when a lawyer must decline or terminate representation, the representation will result in violation of the Rules of Professional Conduct or law, the client persists in a course of action involving the lawyer’s services that the lawyer reasonably believes is criminal or fraudulent, unless the client agrees to disclose and rectify the crime and or fraud, or the client has used the lawyer’s services to perpetrate as a crime or fraud, unless the client agrees to disclose and rectify the crime or fraud.”

Gloria Allred is not the only one who is ditching Vanessa Lopez as the other Florida lawyers who have been representing her were all included in the motion to withdraw their services too. And once the circuit judge officially signed off on the motion, Vanessa was ordered to find herself a whole new set of lawyers.
