Robert Griffin III’s wedding date has been revealed. NFL star Robert Griffin III, known as RG3 to football fanatics, most definitely receives much credit for officially putting Baylor University football on the map. And not only did the star quarterback put the Baylor Bears’ football program in a positive light, he also was awarded one of the most prestigious awards in football, the Heisman Trophy, in 2011. Now as a member of the Washington Redskins, Griffin’s talents have continued to be praised by Skins fans and he has seemed to enjoy his time in the league thus far, despite a devastating knee injury that he suffered during his rookie season. Winning the Heisman back in 2011 was one of the most incredible moments of his life yet 2010 marked another major moment for RGIII as he proposed to his girlfriend Rebecca Liddicoat after Baylor’s big win over Kansas State. After being engaged for a few years, it was been revealed by RGIII’s mother Jackie that RGIII and his fiancee Rebecca will officially become husband and wife this summer in July, the Huffington Post reports:

Washington Redskins superstar Robert Griffin III, otherwise known as RGIII, is set to marry his fiancee, Rebecca Liddicoat, this summer, his mother reportedly revealed.

The famous quarterback’s mom, Jackie, sat down for an interview with Fox D.C.’s WTTG to talk about her son with reporter Shawn Yancy. She discussed how he enjoys spending time at home, how he texts her before most games and how much he loves his fans. She also allegedly spilled the beans about his walking down the aisle, telling Yancy that RGIII will marry Liddicoat in just a few months.

The Washington Post spotted an online registry that appears to belong to RGIII and Liddicoat, revealing a wedding date of July 6 in Virginia. A Bed Bath and Beyond registry listed for Griffin and Liddicoat for a July 6 wedding appears to confirm this.
