Robert Griffin III married? NFL star quarterback Robert Griffin III had an outstanding rookie season with the Washington Redskins aside from the knee injury he suffered during a wild card game against the Seattle Seahawks. As RG3 looks forward to hopefully rejoining his team on the field at the start of next football season, things couldn’t be better for the young talent off the field as his personal life is going through some very exciting changes. Robert Griffin III proposed to his college sweetheart Rebecca Liddicoat back in 2010 after the Baylor Bears football team snagged a big victory against K-State. And Robert Griffin III’s mother Jackie Griffin confirmed the couple was expected to tie the knot this summer in July. Well July is now here and RG3 and the love of his life have now made things official as the two got hitched this past Saturday in Denver, Colorado, ThePostGame reports:
The year ended on a sour note as Griffin III had to leave Washington’s wild card game after injuring his knee, but he is hoping to start the season on the field for the Redskins.
But before that happens, Griffin III had some business to attend to. On Saturday he married his fiancee, Rebecca Liddicoat, in her hometown of Denver. The two met at Baylor and were engaged in October 2010.
Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan, owner of the Redskins Daniel Snyder, quarterback Kirk Cousins and Baylor University’s head coach Art Briles were among the guests who attended Robert and Rebecca’s wedding ceremony.
