Are Elle Varner and Iman Shumpert dating? Elle Varner is wooing over fans with her sultry R&B music, but when it comes to the singer’s personal life, she keeps a lot of her business to herself. Of course she isn’t the first celebrity or R&B starlet to guard her private life at all costs, but it gets harder to stay mum on your love life when you’re so happy. And if anyone knows that best, it would be Elle. Although she has been speculated for a while now to be dating NBA player Iman Shumpert (New York Knicks), the R&B singer confirmed the reports in a recent Instagram post. She posted the following photo and writes in the caption:

Elle also recently chatted it up with Hip Hollywood and revealed it was hard for her to keep her relationship a secret all this time. She says:
“He’s awesome. We’ve been friends for such a long time. Of all the guys that I’ve met throughout being in the limelight he’s the one guy that really stuck it out and built a friendship with me, and it meant a lot, so we’re happy. I’m glad I’m not hiding it anymore, it was a lot of work.
“We’ve been dating a minute. We were on our Jay and Bey tip. That’s the funny thing. We would be out all the time. It just one day showed up in a blog.
“I knew it was going to happen eventually. Just live your life and whatever happens, happens. That’s my thing.”
