Basketball Wives season five cast drama revealed? “Basketball Wives” was once a certified hit for reality television heavyweight VH1, but after Evelyn Lozada chucked that wine bottle at former BBW co-star Kenya Bell’s head, people became furious at the show and the network for supporting that kind of violence. And it didn’t end there for Lozada as a few episodes later she was seen jumping on a table barefoot to attack her former “bff” Jennifer Williams. It didn’t take long for the online petitions to come into play and even advertisers began to cut ties with the network and controversial reality show. Although the show’s executive producer and co-star Shaunie O’Neal tried to clean things up and promises season five would be more positive and violence free, many are still skeptic and believe Evelyn hasn’t changed and neither has Tami Roman who was shown in season four stealing a grown’s woman purse for intimidation tactics.
Welp, the girls are back minus Royce Reed, Jennifer Williams, Kenya Bell and Kesha Nichols and the network promises it will still be drama. VH1 recently released a statement regarding what’s to come for season five and even confirmed the return of “T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle.” On season five of BBW, the network writes:
VH1′s window into the world of women romantically linked to professional basketball players returns for a fifth season. This time around, “Basketball Wives” double dribbles both excitement and surprises, beginning with Evelyn Lozada’s first attempts at extinguishing the media flames surrounding the altercation with her now ex-husband. Back this season with their own passions and ambitions are Tami Roman, Suzie Ketcham and Shaunie O’Neal. New to the scene this season is Evelyn’s friend Tasha Marbury whose tabloid-worthy marriage of seventeen years to Stephon Marbury of the Beijing Ducks has the rest of the girls whispering. Season five also witnesses the return of a notorious wife from seasons past, a confrontation with a woman whose alleged relationship with a player puts one of the wives in an uncomfortable position, and another unforgettable turmoil-filled girls’ trip to London. “Basketball Wives” Season 5 is set to premiere August 19 at 8PM*.
We’re thinking the “notorious wife from seasons past” is Kenya Bell. TMZ did report several months ago she and Suzie Ketcham fought at a restaurant. And it also seems as if the network just confirmed Evelyn’s whole storyline for season five will be about her dealing with her violent split from Chad Johnson. Will you be watching?
Ugh I’m not interested.
This season is going to suck badly.

I can’t say I care about this show anymore. And I’m tired of hearing Evelyn talk about Chad too.

I’m still mad they fired the people who weren’t violent and kept the trouble makers. Just stupid.
Shaunie promotes this violence and it is evident by the horrible people that she kept on. We will NOT BE WATCHING THIS TRASH.

Oh my gosh I wish people would just keep their stupid comments to their self. You all calling it trash and how you don’t like the people who are still on and how you won’t be watching it and stuff. Then why the freak are you all following up with every article on it, every blog, and whatever else. If you like it then you like it, if you don’t like it then you just don’t like it. Gosh, get a life. I swear this world is just falling off by the chunks.
