The Real talk show off to a solid start in ratings? After seeing how successful ABC’s “The View” has been over the years, FOX decided to try their hand at a daytime talk show of their own. Though Tamera Mowry-Housley and Tamar Braxton are doing shows with their family members and busy with motherhood, the two have joined forces with Adrienne Bailon, Loni Love and Jeannie Mai for the talk show “The Real” on FOX. The network described “The Real” as “The View” with an urban twist to it and the ladies of the show assured viewers that they won’t be holding back on the show as they plan to give their raw opinions on all topics ranging from celebrity news to relationships. Getting a glimpse of the panel for the show, people weren’t sure how well the different personalities would mesh together. But judging by the sneak peek clip of the show, it looks like FOX may have hit the jackpot with this one.
With shows like “The View” and “The Talk” already out, many were wondering how “The Real” would do when it came to ratings. The show premiered on July 15th and so far, “The Real” is off to a good start and is a big hit among viewers in New York, according to a report from the NY Post:
After two days on the air, the summer tryout talk show is up 55 percent from what repeats of “Dr. Oz” averaged last year in the timeslot (noon on Ch. 5).
It’s also performed strongly among its target demo, increasing its viewership among women 25-54 by 63 percent over what the “Dr. Oz” repeats were pulling in last season — and it was up an identical 63 percent in women 18-49.
The series — hosted by Tamar Braxton, Adrienne Bailon, Loni Love, Tamera Mowry-Housley and Jeannie Mai — has also performed well nationally, increasing its timeslots 38 percent nationwide from what aired in those slots last year.
It’s a bigger story, however, among women viewers; nationally, “The Real” is up a whopping 80 percent in women 25-54 over last year, while it’s up 60 percent in women 18-49.
“The Real” is doing well so far in ratings. However, Kris Jenner isn’t having the same kind of luck with her talk show. “Kris” launched on the same day “The Real” did and is down 10 percent among women ages 25-54 and 36 percent among women ages 18-49 compared to last year’s time slot average after two days of being on the air.

I haven’t seen either of the shows but I wouldn’t even attempt to watch Kris’s talk show only thing I am interested in hearing from Kris is how to build a multi-million empire w/ zero talent. I respect her bank account not her so I’ll pass on Kris show.

Kris needs to sit down somewhere. People aren’t feeling her show because all she talks about is Kim all day.
Both shows suck. I prefer Wendy and Steve Harvey.
The Real is way better than Steve Harvey. Steve doesn’t even have real guests. Ever since he came out with that Think like a man book he thinks he is a relationship expert and an expert at everything else. I’m over him!!
Kris Jenner has a talk show? Why?!
The Real is really good, I didn’t like Tamar but watching her on the show changed my mind. Kris Jenner can have several seats no one cares about you, Kim and the rest of the Kardashian
I am really surprised…..I watched the show twice and it’s very good. Seems it’s what The Talk promoted itself as being,except 3 of the 5 don’t have small children…WHAT! I love Tamar and Tamera and the other three. They all seem to gel very well.
The show would be real good if the got rid of Tamar. You can’t understsnd a thing she says. She is so unprofessional. As a black woman, that is not who should be representing us.
