TLC biopic trailer has been released. The TLC biopic has been met with both excitement and criticism as the film is set to highlight the legendary R&B girl group’s music career. Keke Palmer, Drew Sidora and Lil Mama snagged the roles as Chilli, T-Boz and Left Eye and were more than thrilled to get the opportunity to portray the singers in the upcoming biopic. However, they did find themselves facing criticism as many people questioned how well they would pull off their assigned roles in the film. Despite what the critics have to say about the cast, the members of TLC are backing the girls 100% and confident they will do the film justice. Keke, Drew and Lil Mama nailed the their looks in the promo photo for the biopic and now VH1 has released a trailer for the biopic to give fans a glimpse of the film.
Here’s what VH1 had to say about the trailer and biopic:
In this first look of the film, which will air this October on VH1, Lil Mama (Left Eye), Keke Palmer (Chilli), and Drew Sidora (T-Boz) morph into their roles perfectly and we watch as the best-selling female R&B group ever gets their start. The film, which was executive produced by surviving members Chilli and T-Boz, features the struggles, the rise to fame, and of course the music, that made us want to dance, sing along, and jokingly put a condom on our left eye when the moment felt right. The film is just one more milestone in this group’s history, and VH1 is thrilled to be a part of it.
Check out the trailer below for “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story” below. Will you be watching it?
So all they did was recreate the music videos? How is that considered a movie?
They look great but it would be nice to see some actual acting in the trailer.
It looks more like a spoof then a movie in my opinion.
Looks like Lil Mama nailed it.
Lil Mamma looks like Left Eye.
WTF is this sh-t? All I saw was recreated music videos!
I am not watching this movie.
LOL is this a joke? We didn’t see nan one second of acting. Just these girls playing dress up.
This is bringing back some memories.
I’ll watch to support because TLC is one of my fave groups, but I would have loved to actually see a glimpse of their acting. This trailer makes it seem like the network thought the most important thing was nailing the looks. And that makes me real nervous.
A-GREED!!!!!! I love TLC! And so I’ll be watching just based off the strength of that. We’ll see
