Cynthia Bailey illness revealed? Many wondered if Cynthia Bailey was pregnant a few months ago after she made an appearance on the red carpet sporting what looked liked a baby bump. However, Cynthia quickly shut down the rumors and speculation and revealed on Twitter that she is not pregnant. The reality star later confirmed the not so baby bump is actually the result of a medial condition, and we did hear it would be revealed in detail on the upcoming season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Although Cynthia can’t reveal what caused what looked like a baby bump because of her contract with Bravo, a new report suggests Cynthia is actually suffering from fibroid tumors. The National Enquirer reports:

The ENQUIRER has learned Cynthia has uterine fibroid tumors that have grown so large they need to be surgically removed ASAP.

According to WEBMD, fibroid tumors are composed of renegade muscle cells that band together to form a fibrous mass within the uterus. Like Cynthia’s, they are rarely malignant, but commonly occur between the ages of 30-40, with African-American women at greatest risk.

“Cynthia agreed to share her health crisis on the show because she wants other women see what she goes through and be reminded that they need to get regular checkups,” a family friend revealed.

“She didn’t go to the doctor because she was working too much. But when her stomach started to grow, and she knew she wasn’t pregnant, she went to the doctor in a panic, wondering if she had cancer.”

While none of this has been confirmed by Cynthia herself as of yet, we’re pretty sure she’ll open up about everything a lot more this upcoming season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

  1. Makes sense. Hope she gets better soon. I wonder why black women struggle with this illness so much.

  2. Yeah, this is so common with us. I don’t know if it’s what we’re eating or if it’s hereditary. But she will get better i’m sure. Surgery will probably be the best route to healing.

  3. Let food be thy medicine. Stop eating meat. Stop eating processed foods. This will stop the fibroids. Change your diet. TA-DA!!!!
