Chris Brown’s legal troubles continue as the singer was recently charged with a hit and run after the woman involved in the fender bender claimed the R&B singer refused to hand over his insurance info at the scene of the incident. Chris has denied the accusations on several occasions and in the end the woman decided not to press charges and settle. However, Chris was still slapped with charges and he’s possibly facing jail time because he was still on probation for assaulting Rihanna in 2009 on the night of the Grammys. Now that his probation has been revoked, Chris feels like he is being unfairly targeted and his attorney Mark Geragos seems to agree with the superstar. While the singer’s attorney says he doesn’t believe Chris will serve any jail time, reports suggest he did turn himself in on Monday afternoon but the whole process was swift and paparazzi free because he snuck in after the paps left 50 Cent’s hearing. TMZ reports:
TMZ has learned … Brown showed up at the Van Nuys jail at around 2 PM. We’re told his lawyer, Mark Geragos, engineered it all and the purpose was to make it happen without any photogs present.
Brown was booked and released on his own recognizance — no bail. We’re told the whole thing took around 45 minutes.
Now here’s what’s interesting. Just a few hours earlier, there was a gaggle of photogs at the courthouse which is connected to the jail, because 50 Cent made a court appearance. When the cameras were gone, Chris appeared.
