Tameka Raymond and Usher are both coping with their recent scare involving their son Usher V, and after the child nearly lost his life in a pool accident, both parents are probably asking themselves numerous questions on how the whole thing could have been prevented. Tameka reportedly filed papers with the court seeking an emergency custody hearing as she is demanding primary custody of their two sons, and she also claims Usher just works and travels too much to keep a good eye on the kids. So instead she says he opted to hire unfit nannies to watch the boys. Tameka took to her Twitter account to thank people for their prayers and kind words and now it appears Usher has finally broken his silence as well. He released the following statement on his website:
I am blessed and fortunate to say that my son Usher V is doing well and is recovering. I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of prayers, love and support for my family’s well-being. I would like to thank my Aunt Rena as well as the doctors and nurses who are working with us around the clock. I’d especially like to thank the two men who saved my son’s life, Eugene Stachurski and Ben Crews. They are true heroes and I am deeply grateful to them.
In related news, it’s pretty clear the upcoming part two of the custody battle between Tameka and Usher is going to get nasty as Tameka claims in court documents filed that Usher is allegedly refusing to give her extra time with the children and “stated in my presence that he would rather the nanny raise the minor children than allow me any additional parenting time outside the specific times.”
Interestingly enough, Tameka’s recent tweets have some folks thinking she denied taking any recent court action. She tweets (read from top to bottom):
We’re still confused as to what exactly Tameka is denying considering even Good Morning America had copies of the paperwork she filed this morning and multiple sources have confirmed a hearing is scheduled for Friday. But it’s possible she’s denying another report that suggests she was already awarded custody, something she did deny on her Twitter account flat-out (read from top to bottom):
I see Tameka is still a compulsive liar.
So is Usher. Both of them are dirty.
She knows she filed that paperwork.
Exactly.
I’m glad the child is doing better.
I’m just glad the child is ok. I’m over Tameka and Usher’s drama. Totally unnecessary.
They just need to co-parent. Life’s too short for all this nastiness.
These tweets are confusing.
Damage control. I’m not sure why though because it’s nothing she can do to change the mindset of the people who hate her.
The truth will come out if she filed or not. Co-parenting is the key Tameka and Usher don’t turn this almost tragedy into a battle.
She’s lying. Period.
Clients don’t file paperwork in court, lawyers do. Tameka doesn’t have to leave the hospital, she has attorneys working for her. She isn’t denying she filed, she is saying she didn’t physically drive to the courthouse. Stop hatin’
