As many of you already probably know, late last week a report was published by TMZ claiming Raz B had gotten into a pretty nasty altercation in a nightclub in China. Sometime during the altercation, the former singer of B2K was allegedly hit in the face with a bottle and later taken to a hospital to get patched up. The next day a new report surfaced from the site claiming the singer’s own publicist claimed he was in a coma and slipping in and out of consciousness while on life support. From day one, we felt the story was fishy and we have a past interaction with Raz and Chris Stoke’s camps that revealed to us sometime last year that they aren’t very honest people. So we decided against reporting the story considering we’ve been lied to already by Chris Stokes and Raz B’s associates enough for us to sit back and let things play out. And it looks like we weren’t wrong in our decision to not publish the story considering CNN just confirmed the whole story was a hoax and a pretty unethical publicity stunt.

According to CNN, Raz B’s manager reached out and confirmed the whole coma story is completely bogus. Elayne Rivers says:

“The comments about Raz being in a coma did not come from his official representative.”

Interestingly enough, Raz’s brother Ricky Romance also tells CNN he was “misled for unknown reasons” regarding the story, but to many it just sounds like he may have had a hand in the whole thing. He says in a statement:

“I was unfortunately unable to contact my brother at the time and then panicked. I then alerted as many people of this information hoping to gather facts… Since the source that gave me this information was what I thought to be legitimately reliable I didn’t question I just believed. I apologize if I seem like I jumped to conclusions but a coma is a serious situation and it was concerning my brother whom is my best friend as well. I sincerely apologize for the confusion I caused if that is the case.”

There you have it.

This isn’t the first time Raz has been busted in a lie, his most recent lie was penning a book in which he claimed he would expose Chris Brown, Bow Wow and his former B2K group member’s alleged hidden sexual preferences. After the book publishing company he claimed he had the book deal with reached out to Urban Belle and confirmed it had begun filing paperwork to sue him, he then got on Twitter and admitted no such book was in the works and one of his “haters” started the lie.

  1. Raz is so thirsty for attention he will say and do anything. I hope now the media will never run with his “stories” ever again. All he does is lie. The boy needs help.

  2. This is very pathetic. My thing is why attention whore when you don’t even have any new music to benefit from the buzz you’re getting? This was pointless.

  3. I’m thinking Raz didn’t like that the first story on TMZ didn’t get enough attention, so he told his people to make up the whole life support thing. No one is going to ever believe him again.

  4. I used to feel so sorry for this child because I really believed he was molested. But now he’s just annoying and I wish he would shut up and go away. You don’t lie about almost dying just to make it on TMZ. Some of these black celebs are so thirsty for white people’s attention it’s sad.

  5. He’s like the boy who cried wolf. Nobody believes a liar even when he’s telling the truth. All his lies are going to make people not want to deal with him ever again.

  6. Dude has serious mental problems, to fake a coma??? He better hope is crying wolf behind does fall into one for real. Pure stupidity… your B2k days are over and you need to file unemployment and get your coins and foodstamps cause he’s clearly struggling if you have to fake a coma to get your name back out there. I don’t see it for him or anyone else he is/was associated with. NEXT!
