Big Boi’s Wife Files for Divorce

Big Boi wife Sherlita Patton files for divorce? Outkast has been keeping fans on their toes as people are still awaiting for the rap duo to release another studio album. Unfortunately for the fans of the group, the possibilities look slim as Andre 3000 is reportedly holding up the reunion because he’s not so sure if he wants to make another album. It’s been rumored the real issue keeping Andre 3000 from returning to the studio with Big Boi is he feels a lot of pressure to impress his supporters lyrically as he’s always been able to do in the past. Regardless, Big Boi says he has no issues with his group member, but it appears that he is having some issues in his marriage.

According to a new report from the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Big Boi’s wife just filed for divorce. The Atlanta-based publication says Sherlita Patton filed the paperwork to the Fulton Country Superior Court on Wednesday. While it’s not clear what exactly caused her to file the papers, she is citing that the marriage is “irretrievably broken.”

The couple married in February 2002, and Antwon and Sherlita Patton have two children together. The eldest child is 18 years old and the youngest is 12.

Sherlita is seeking full custody and child support for the 12-year-old, as well as equitable division of marital property, spousal support and attorney’s fees.

The couple is currently separated and as of now, and Big Boi’s camp hasn’t commented on the filing. The publication also confirms that calls made to Sherlita’s attorneys have not been returned.
