In very sad Hip Hop news , it has been confirmed that a prominent member of rap group Three Six Mafia has passed away.

According to multiple reports, founding group member Lord Infamous died Friday evening, and his body was discovered by his own mother. The group’s head honcho DJ Paul claims Juicy J’s mother says she found him dead at the kitchen table hours after he told her he was tired and wanted to get some rest. Apparently he passed away from a heart attack that occurred in his sleep. DJ Paul says:

“He passed away in his sleep from a heart attack. He said he was tired, he wanted to sleep. He sat down at the kitchen table, put his head in his arms to lay down … to get some sleep.”

On the passing of the founding member of the group, DJ Paul says he’ll be remembered as a legend:

“He’ll be remembered as a legend, everybody knew him as a legend, an icon. his year was going to make our twenty-fourth year rapping together. His music, our music that we made together, was truly before its time.”

DJ Paul also says Lord Infamous, whose real name is Ricky Dunigan, was so excited to be back together with the original group and perform for their hometown of Memphis next week.

He was 40 years old.

Our condolences to Lord Infamous’ loved ones at such a tragic time.

  1. He was the best rapper out this group. I read somewhere that he had a stroke a few years ago. I wonder if it had something to do with his death. RIP.

  2. OMG. I grew up listening to 3-6. I’m shocked. Man RIP for real. He was talented and I’m sad to see him go so young.

  3. 40 is so young to be having heart attacks. I know there has to be more to this story. Condolences to his loved ones.
