As we recently reported, Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade are now engaged, and the happy couple shared their good news last night via their Instagram accounts.
Of course, as always with any celebrity couple, it was only a matter of time before the details on the ring were revealed. TMZ learned that Gabby’s rock is 8.5 carats, and the Miami Heat star searched for the perfect stone for months. The site writes:
Dwayne popped the question Saturday night with an 8.5 carat cushion cut diamond ring (pictured below) made by go-to celeb jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills … and TMZ has learned it goes for nearly 1 million bucks.
We’re told Dwayne had been on the hunt for months for the stone of her dreams … and his jeweler made 3 trips to Miami looking for the perfect jewel … and third time was a charm.
Jason Arasheben of Jason of Beverly Hills Provider of Diamond Luxuries is the jeweler responsible for Gabby’s gorgeous ring. Check out the photo he posted to Instagram below:
