Mariah Carey’s fans (she affectionately refers to them as her lambs) have been in a constant uproar regarding the status of her upcoming studio album. In fact, they have been dragging Mariah’s current manager Jermaine Dupri something serious on social media ever since it was confirmed that he would be helping Mariah during the process of putting out new music.

Her album was already pushed back once because she didn’t feel it was quite ready for release, but now new rumors suggest it has been pushed back yet again.

The Inquisitr reports:

Unfortunately for Mariah Carey fanatics, the album is no longer hitting retail shelves as scheduled. In fact, The Art of Letting Go seems to have vanished completely from her record label’s website. At this stage in the proverbial game, it’s anybody’s guess when the songs will find their into stores.

The folks at Popdust theorize that the latest musical offering from Mariah Carey may have been given the boot following the poor performance of her latest single. “You’re Mine (Eternal)” officially stalled out at number 88 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart before completely falling off. Since nobody seems to care about the stuff she’s releasing these days, Island may have decided to shelve the album altogether.

  1. Aww I hate that she’s having a hard time but she’s had such a great career that I’m sure she will bounce back from this. All she needs is a really great new album and she will be fine.

  2. Hmmm…maybe it’s just the songs she’s been putting out. Beautiful was cool but it doesn’t touch anything on The Emancipation of Mimi.

  3. How is this JD’s fault though? I think he can only make Mariah do so much. She will always do what she wants at the end of the day.

  4. This probably is for the best. This needs to be said but Mariah needs to stop putting out subpar albums and singles and get back to the old Mariah. Her last couple of albums were wack in my opinion. Whatever happened to the single Beautiful with Miguel it was like it came and went why didn’t they wait to release that with an album.

  5. People aren’t feeling her music right now. She got back with JD but the music still sucks. I want another The Emancipation of Mimi.

  6. R&B music is on its last leg. So you have to come with it no matter who you are. And what I’ve heard so far from her wasn’t cutting it. I think she will scrap this album and record one that will make more waves on the charts.

  7. I hate that this is happening to her. I’ve literally been a Mariah fan since I was a kid and I can honestly say her most of her recent music has been subpar. If she gives it one more try I’ll try and support it but I think it may be time for her to let it go.
