Mariah Carey had a recent show in Australia for her “The Elusive Chanteuse Show” concert in Perth late last month, however one of the opening acts is claiming she was axed before even hitting the stage because Mariah allegedly didn’t want another woman to perform.
Up and coming singer Natalia was booked to perform at a pre-show function and she was told she would hit the stage as a second support act, along with singer Nathaniel. Unfortunately for Natalia, she claims a promoter told her just the day before Mariah had changed her mind.
Natalia tweeted the following:
Natalia also tells 2Day she’s devastated because she feels the gig would have helped launched her music career:
“I thought she was amazing… she hit every high note at that show. I honestly thought why wouldn’t you support another act? No one is ever gonna steal the limelight but you could have kick-started something maybe for me and my career.”
Mariah’s camp hasn’t responded to the accusations as of yet.
Sigh…I really think there’s more to the story than what this woman is claiming. Why would Mariah need to be threatened by this person? Her career speaks for itself.
Yeah I need some receipts on this one. Why would she be threatened by some singer no one has even heard of before?
She’s just using Mariah’s name for attention. Mariah wouldn’t have chosen her if she thought she would outshine her. She simply wanted to go in another direction and now everyone can see why. This nobody is unprofessional.

This chick should not have aired this publicly it’s very unprofessional I kinda have a hard time believing her but I’m not going to act like it’s beneath Mariah to do something like this. Mariah has did some very petty things especially when it comes to women.
I loathe attention whoring (and this is what this is) but let’s not act like Mariah is above this. This is right up her alley. And her most recent b-tch fit happened with Nicki. She was pissed she wasn’t the only woman and got really petty over it.

…and the promoter could’ve lied to protect himself, and blamed Mariah instead. They’re a lot more variables to this story than what she’s saying, I’d bet.
