Beyonce had a major year after she dropped her self titled album, and it’s no surprise after receiving massive album sales that the superstar was nominated handsomely at this year’s Grammy Awards.
However, these latest nominations make Beyonce the most Grammy nominated female artist of all time, a title Dolly Parton used to hold.
Celebuzz writes:
This morning, Beyoncé earned her 47th Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album (for her self-titled fifth album). Previously, at 46 nominations, Beyoncé was tied with Dolly Parton. But Bey didn’t stop there: she earned another four nominations — and she could still be nominated for another in the Album of the Year category — for a grand career total of 51 Grammy nods.
It’s now been confirmed that Beyonce’s latest album has also been nominated for Album of the Year. Congrats to Bey.
Another day, another slay.
I like that.
I’m happy for Bey but I won’t be watching because the Grammys is always disrespecting black artists. I wouldn’t be surprised if they cheated Bey out of most of the awards she was nominated for.
Iggy got like 5 nominations, so I doubt I’ll be watching. LOL.
Right!!
Are you serious?
Yes ma’am.
She works her tail off. I’m happy for her.
I’ve seen the nominations list and I’m not impressed with most of the artists who were nominated. They hand many of these white artists awards that our black artists have to work so hard to even get nominated for.
Facts.
Congrats to Bey but I have to side eye them not putting Drunk in love in the Song of the year or Record of the year category. And that best rap album category is a joke.
Yassssss slay mutha!!!!!
congrats
Queen.
