Newlyweds Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s romance has pretty much been well documented on “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” but the current season shows the couple’s first year of marriage has been pretty difficult thus far.
One of the main reasons the couple is having issues is because they are apart a lot due to Todd’s outside projects.
Although Kandi always brags about being transparent on the hit reality show, she now says she resents being so open about her marriage.
Kandi writes in her Bravo blog:
As soon as Todd and I got married he had to leave for LA to start production on his show. We went from being together every day to going weeks without seeing each other. It took some time to adjust. Things were tense for a short period of time, but we’re great now. I do regret talking about it on TV. I’m a very open person, but I’m learning that it’s not always a great idea to be an open book when it comes to your marriage.
*blank stare* This is the same person who didn’t mind putting her ratchet mother on TV and using her to hold on to her peach.
Exactly!!!! Kandi has always been ok with using her family for a storyline. Why is it so different now?
And whoring out your mother is cool?
I was rooting for them but Todd kind seems over her. I just don’t know if he’s in it for the long haul anymore.
This marriage was doomed from the beginning and the cracks are showing.

The minute she let Don Juan, the staff and her mother constantly disrespect Todd, he started having second thoughts. What she should be regretting is not having a backbone when it counted.
I totally agree, her mom is going to be her mom regardless, she should respect Todd ad her husband vows she took when she got married.
This! Did she really think her mother and her friends could disrespect Todd and his mom and he not feel some type of way about her not shutting it down. Not to mention moving her mother down the street from them. That would make anyone second guess her. I don’t blame him, I wouldn’t wanna have a child with her either because that would really push the marriage to Fulton County superior court!
Todd and Momma Joyce are the only reason Kandi was never kicked off. I’m just being honest.
She’s already sucking at marriage. She’s always letting people come for Todd and he probably is starting to resent her for it. I’m married and I would feel some kind of way if my husband let everyone disrespect me.
They just got married and they are already having problems. Crazy.
Kandi was my favorite up until this season. She’s playing the fence a little too much for me now.
I just don’t think they will last.
I don’t believe they are great now.
Kandi has become someone I don’t even like watching any more. She starts messes and watches everyone go after each other(funny that her tagline is “don’t start none, won’t be none.”), she lets her mother(who I am convinced is afraid she won’t be still taken care of if something happens to Kandi) walk all over her husband, she keeps the mess going between the 2 moms(or did before Joyce passed) and was sometimes disrespectful to Todd’s mom, she puts too much of her marriage and sex life on the show( Never a good idea) and is two faced as hell. UGH!!!!!
