Erica Mena’s time away from reality television has caused her to sit and reflect on her time on “Love and Hip Hop New York.”
Interestingly enough, she now feels the franchise is toxic for the stars.

I mean it’s not like she’s lying. I may make jokes about Mimi quitting but oh I understand it. It has to be draining to make your living fighting and cussing people out on TV. At some point I think they all start to see the checks aren’t big enough.
Does anyone who walks away from Mona have anything good to say? Sheesh.
The fact that they eventually start to feel like it’s no different than a 9 to 5 says it all!!!!!!!!!!

I’m glad she said this. A lot of people look at reality stars with rose colored glasses on and they think it’s so glamorous and easy. But a lot of these people are miserable and even on drugs just to cope with what they do to pay the bills. Especially if they are the appointed villain. It’s sad.
Meanwhile besides talkin about #LHH and its characters what is she doing wit her life???

For someone who quit, she does like to talk about the show a lot.
