Lil Wayne Fires Publicist for Not Getting Controversial Interview Pulled

According to TMZ, Weezy tried to get Nightline to dump the interview.

However, producers probably thought it was too controversial to axe and aired it anyway:

Sources connected to Wayne tell TMZ … the rapper’s camp sent the network several emails insisting the interview never see the light of day, but ABC never responded. We’re told Wayne’s rationale was simple — the interviewer, Linsey Davis, crossed the line by asking questions he says were NOT pre-approved.

We broke the story … Weezy got agitated when Davis asked a question about his daughter, which he says aggravated him so much … he blasted the black lives matter movement a few minutes later.

ABC News tells us nothing was pre-approved with Wayne’s camp, and, “When it came to the questions and the topics of the interview nothing was off limits.”

Wayne was definitely not happy — we’re told he fired his publicists when the segment aired.

  1. Well, he can’t blame his publicist for his ignorant comments. He needs to be mad at himself for all the backlash.

    1. Agreed. I can’t believe he’s really trying to blame someone else for what he said. It’s also not the interviewer’s fault either. He really tried it.

  2. It’s definitely not his publicist’s fault that he’s so ignorant about racism and BLM. That’s who he chooses and it’s right in line with his gross lyrics about Emmitt Till.

  3. He needs to shut his high a-s up. And what’s even funnier is this fool really thinks racism doesn’t exist but ABC had no problem exploiting his dumb black a-s. They could have scrapped that interview but they didn’t because they don’t give a f-ck about his black a-s.

  4. I agree that he already said his truth so there’s no point in apologizing. Toya already said he believes most of his fans are white so he’s not pressed about what happens in the black community. People lack empathy when money is all they care about.
