Gabby is busy promoting her latest film, “Almost Christmas,” and she had some interesting advice for single ladies.
She tells The Grio:
“If your type hasn’t worked for you in 40 years — guess what? Your type sucks!
“Time to change your type. Think outside the box! Maybe they’re younger, maybe they’re older, maybe they don’t come in the shape or size or color that you assume they would come in.
“But there’s so many dope people out there that if you open yourself up and get out of your own way, you’re going to have a lot of options. A lot more options than you think.”
Should single women be open minded like her and consider married men too?

Solid message but she’s the wrong one to give relationship advice.
This should be common sense.
If it were all women who want to be married would be married.
Successfully dating is an art. You have to balance not lowering your standards with remaining open minded.
Both genders just have to figure out which standards are the most important and which aren’t.
I agree with what she’s saying, however, her track record negatively affects her credibility to say it. Doesn’t make the message wrong tho. Sometimes the one who isn’t “your type” is the one for you.
