It didn’t take long for Cardi B. to instantly become a fan favorite on “Love and Hip Hop New York.”
Many fans of the hit reality show instantly took to the rapper because of her sense of humor and feisty onscreen personality.
However, Cardi’s been getting a lot of great opportunities outside of LHHNY, and now she’s finding it hard to make time to film.
She even secured a recurring role on “Being Mary Jane.”
So she figured it’s the best time to walk away.

Cardi B took to the social media platform to directly deliver the news to her followers that she is moving on from LHH:NY.
She stressed that it has nothing to do with the show’s head honcho Mona Scott-Young or money, but rather her busy schedule.

I’m happy for Cardi. I know she’s been through a lot and her life has been very rough. She’s smart because she sees LHHNY as a platform and not a career. She realizes it’s time to go on to bigger and better. Can’t say the same for others who claim to be Oprah from the projects and whatnot.

Yandy is always talking about how smart she is but she continues to make some pretty stupid decisions. Even Chrissy and Jim moved on after they realized what Mona was about. Yandy is still there and she looks even dumber this season arguing with Mendeecees other baby mommas and lying about being married.

This is how you do it. You sign up for the show to get your name out there and then you leave while you’re relevant enough to do better things. These LHH shows are not supposed to be longterm things. Just temporary. Now she’s leaving Mona to act and her music actually gets played on the radio. Go head Cardi.
I am happy for her. This is the best time for her to leave. Now she can focus on her music and getting more acting gigs. I believe Remy Ma is next to go. She really doesn’t need LHHNY.
She’s smart by leaving on a good note with Mona so the door will be open to maybe her securing her own spinoff like K did just in case things slow down for her. But I think Cardi is also tired of the drama she has to deal with for the sake of entertainment. These people literally get paid to fight and argue on TV. After a while, I’m sure it drains them. Those who can walk away eventually and do well for themselves do.
I think this is the right decision. I think Remy should make this her last season as well. She barely filmed and she just got nominated for a Grammy.
