Sevyn Streeter and Luke James paired for a very romantic cover of Lauryn Hill’s “Nothing Even Matters.” The song originally appeared on her 1999 album, “Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.” Luke James is fresh off of playing Johnny Gill in the very well received New Edition biopic that aired on BET in January. The biopic chronicled the creation, rise and fall of the 80’s group from Boston. The biopic brought in great ratings for BET and led New Edition back to the top 40 charts in more than a decade.
Sevyn Streeter, whose known for collaborations with Chris Brown, is setting up to release a solo album this year. In January, she released the first single from the project called “Fallen” and just wrapped up her 18-night Girl Disrupted Tour.

They sound lovely.
Nope.
I’m all for a good remake and I love their voices individually, but this is just ok to me.
I like it.
It’s not bad but I don’t think a remake was necessary. I like Sevyn and Luke though.
Sevyn is too awesome of a writer for covers. They sound good tho.
