Everyone is getting ready for their appearance on TD Jakes’ talk show.
The family didn’t get much time to contemplate if they should go on the talk show or not, but Tamar has convinced them to move forward.
However, they can’t forget how intense things got the last time, especially when Michael’s new marriage was discussed.
“I didn’t realize how busy new relationships make you.” – Toni
Toni says things are going very good with Birdman, but she’s afraid they won’t be able to remain friends if the relationship doesn’t work out. Evelyn tells her not to worry about the Future and enjoy things for what they are by taking things one step at a time.
Towanda and Tamar feel like it was shady for Tamar to tell them about the appearance last minute.
Tamar has some butterflies of her own and the sisters face obstacles while preparing to sing.
With a lot of bad press surrounding her name, she really doesn’t want anything she says to misunderstood and taken out of context on TD Jakes’ show.
“I’m not here to offend…be a victim…none of that.” – Tamar
Tamar also learns last minute that TD Jakes wants them to sing.
Toni is late but they begin rehearsing anyway. Evelyn tells them that their harmonizing sounds off.
Toni eventually arrives but has to learn the song.
When they go out on the stage, the producers of TD Jakes’ show replay the clips from their last sitdown, and they once again discuss Michael and Evelyn’s divorce.
Michael says things have gotten better and he was able to mend relationships by not giving up on communication.
When it’s time for them to sing “Be Well,” Toni freezes up and never sings her part which is the lead. After seconds of awkwardness, Tamar sings lead and they get through the 30 second performance.
“You did the same thing on ‘Family Feud.’” – Tamar to Tony
Towanda thinks it’s time for a family vacation.
Now that everyone seems to be getting along, Towanda suggests they plan a family getaway. They think Mexico may be the best destination.
Later, they have dinner with Michael and inform him of their vacation idea.
He tells them he’s not sure yet if the vacation will work out because he wants his wife to come.
“Elephant go back!” – Tamar
Before the trip can happen, the family must get Evelyn to agree to Michael’s wife, Ms. Wanda, coming too.
