The sisters are disappointed because they are starting to think Michael isn’t going to come to Mexico.
Convinced their father won’t be showing up, they decide to move forward with their vacation and do a little shopping.
During shopping conversation, Tamar upsets her sisters because she keeps talking about hanging out with Vince. To their disapproval, she invited Vince and Logan to the festivities.
Although her sisters aren’t thrilled about Vince being in Mexico, Tamar says she’s not going to miss out on spending time with Vince for his birthday because he almost died two years ago.
Michael explains his failed marriage to Evelyn.
He claims things got really bad with Evelyn, so he reached out to Wanda to talk about his issues in his marriage. Their friendship turned into a full out affair and they have been together ever since.
Given the timing of their relationship, Wanda is nervous about meeting everyone.
Evelyn learns about Wanda and Michael’s arrival.
Logan wasted no time in letting Evelyn know that Michael and Miss Wanda have arrived in Mexico. Evelyn is disturbed by the news.
“Why here? This is our vacation and they’re invading my space.” – Evelyn to Towanda and Trina
Evelyn is over the trip and now ready to leave.
“I’m leaving because I don’t want to mingle. They come to Mexico knowing I’m here. I’m over it.” – Evelyn
Toni dropped the ball and never told Evelyn about Wanda possibly coming.
Toni invites Michael and Wanda to dinner with the sisters without telling them first.
“I’m just saying I think we should clear the air.” – Toni
Michael says that he’s been trying to have a relationship with all of his children but it always feels like he’s walking on eggshells.
Toni admits that the marriage makes her uncomfortable and she’s confused about how to feel. She wants to respect Miss Wanda but how they got together is an issue.
“Miss Wanda we were so angry at you. We wanted to spit at you and stab you.” – Toni to Wanda
Wanda feels like she’s being painted to be the bad guy but she never had any bad intentions.
“I am not out here trying to hurt anybody.” – Wanda
Michael gets frustrated with his daughters because he feels like they are placing too much blame on Wanda. In his opinion, his marriage to Evelyn was already broken when Wanda came into the picture.
“How did y’all come to the conclusion that she broke up the family?” – Michael
Michael says he feels like what happened in his marriage is not any of his kids’ business. He says he doesn’t get in their business and deserves the same respect.
It also comes up that Trina is still upset about Michael not showing up to her wedding because of Wanda. But Michael claims his issue was Trina told him Wanda was not invited. Although Wanda said he should go, he decided not to because he thought it was disrespectful.
Tamar says it’s worse now knowing that Michael made the choice not to show up to Trina’s wedding himself. Wanda breaks down and leaves.
Tamar and Trina start crying, and Michael says he regrets not showing up to Trina’s wedding but he has a problem with his kids telling him what he can and cannot do. This sets Tamar off.
“…you just got to choose your kids over whatever!” – Tamar to Micheal
Michael says he feels like no one is willing to let him move on from what happened almost 20 years ago. Trina is hurt but willing to forgive him and move forward. However, Tamar is upset that he didn’t show up to the hospital when she had some serious blood clots. When Towanda tries to explain he couldn’t travel because he was sick at the time and advised by the doctor not to fly, Tamar gets upset and leaves.
Despite Tamar leaving, the rest of the sisters decide they want to forgive Michael for everything has happened over the years, but it’s not going to be easy.
Wanda feels responsible.
Wanda says seeing Tamar upset was devastating and she feels like she’s the reason for everyone’s pain. However, Michael feels like things won’t be right to until Evelyn allows everyone to move on.
What are your thoughts on the episode?
Michael has a lot of nerve trying to make it seem like Evelyn is the issue here. No he and Wanda are the ones that caused all of these issues. Their selfish actions have affected so many people.
Lastnight was hard to watch. I found it so sad that he didnt care that he ruined his family by sleeping with that woman. He seems like he love Ms. Wanda more than his own children. I think it was very disrepectful to have her on that trip with him knowing hos ex wife would be there.

Micheal ain’t sh-t.
I feel really bad for the family but Micheal and Wanda are full of sh-t. They don’t really care about all the pain they have caused the family. They only care about themselves.
Michael and Wanda need to be dragged. Hopeful Evelyn will come through and do just that next week.
This is a very emotional situation. But I felt really bad for Trina. Him not showing up to her wedding cut very deep. And now that she knows it wasn’t Wanda’s doing, it’s got to hurt even more now.
A real man doesn’t put his family through this.
It’s disgusting that he’s blaming his kids and Evelyn for his selfish choices.

This was the time for the girls to be real with Michael and his chick this woman was sleeping with their father for years while he was married to their mom and they were growing up. Michael is a dirty old man an old school pimp daddy that dont give a sh-t about anybody but himself. He didn’t get up and hug his daughters but I bet when it’s time to get money from their success his hand be stuck out palm up!!
That dinner scene was definitely hard to watch. I couldn’t stop crying because I genuinely felt their pain, especially Trina’s. Michael just wasn’t getting it and that would’ve made me lose it because he really didn’t seem to understand how deep his actions has hurt them.
I’m glad his daughters had the opportunity to speak w/ them. It was long overdue. There were misunderstandings that needed to be cleared up. As a daughter I understand how they felt protective of their mother’s feelings. However, despite his mistake; I understood how Michael felt too. He probably didn’t know how to respond to his daughters not wanting his wife, whom he loved and cared about, to be included. Loving both his children and his wife, he may have felt caught between either disappointing his girls or his new wife. I truly felt for Ms. Wanda bc if what she says is true, she didn’t want to come between them and their father and felt awful for breaking up their family. I hope they can move pass that hurt some day. Maybe family counseling would help them to resolve their hurt feelings.
If she didn’t want to come between a man, wife and children you don’t befried, sleep with or take in someone else’s husband period. A descent woman want even give a married man the time of day. She knew what she was doing and didn’t give a darn what position that family would be in. What she thought he would sleep with her for 9yrs while having a family that needed and loved him @ home then marry the man and she will be met with open arms. Oh thanks Ms. Wanda for taking my dad away from my mom and us. Thanks dad for being the slimmy womanizer that interupted my growth, family life and possible future relationships. Yeah thanks Michael and Wanda you didn’t want to cause any hurt to anybody!!!
Watching this episode for the first time a year later and I don’t know how to react. First I’ll say that Tamar and I have very similar sensibilities. Loyalty matters a lot to me and I understand the betrayal she felt. They seemed to ignore the fact that Ms E had said Wanda was one of many women. Very disappointed in him. And if I was his chi@d I’d realistically never forgive him, at @east not until he div9rced her too. I don’t think he deserves happiness. That’s that only child youngest child mentality I guess. The less petty side of me does feel for him and Wanda. She seems sweet though she’s an adulteress
