Deb meets with Bow Wow’s dad.
Deb goes against Bow Wow’s wishes and meets with his father Alfonso Moss. In a green screen interview, Deb mentions that she’s known Alfonso for a long time. When he meets her at restaurant, she tells him that Bow Wow doesn’t want to meet with him. However, she is convinced they need to meet despite their past run-ins.
Alfonso can’t really understand why Bow Wow wants nothing to do with him but Deb explains that his alcoholism has caused Bow to be resentful.
“Imagine how he felt when you had that relationship with the bottle.” – Deb
When Deb asks about his addiction, Alfonso tells Deb that it’s getting better.
She realizes that Bow Wow isn’t going to be happy about her meeting his dad behind his back.
“’I’m sorry Bow Wow but I got to put y’all together. Are you strong enough to deal with whats coming your way?” – Deb
Da Brat grills Bow Wow about his work ethic.
Meanwhile, Bow Wow is late for another studio session with JD. So he motivates himself by face timing Shai. He invites Joie and Shai to see him in Atlanta.
“I’m gonna try. I’m gonna make it work.” – Joie
When Bow Wow gets to the studio, he encounters Da Brat who’s mad he is extremely late. She doesn’t waste any time and immediately checks him about his questionable work ethic.
“The world ain’t gonna wait on you n****. We gotta a schedule baby. How you gonna have n****s waiting 2 hours? It’s like you don’t give a f***. So, I need you to get your s*** together or else JD is gonna pull the plug on your record.” – Brat
Bow Wow ends up leaving because they wasted the studio time.
When he leaves he calls Ayana. He is throwing a pre-party dinner for Reginae and wants Ayana and Brandon to show up.
“Whatever, we all should just go and have a good time.” -Ayana
He wants Brandon and Reginae to squash the beef. Ayana is apprehensive about this idea. She goes along with it but says if things goes wrong, she will place all of the blame on Bow Wow.
Deb meets with Da Brat at the studio. She was hoping to catch Bow Wow before he left but she missed him. When she tells Da Brat about her plan to have him sit down with is father Alfonso, Brat thinks he isn’t ready for it. Deb tells her about the conversation she had with Bow Wow, and Brat thinks this could further distract him from his music career.
When Da Brat asks Deb why she is so determined for Bow to meet with Alfonso, Deb reveals that she doesn’t want Shai not to have a relationship with her grandfather.
Joie turns down Bow Wow, Brandon needs Deb.
Joie and Shai arrive at Bow wow’s house from LA. Bow Wow believes Joie and Shai will keep him in line.
He surprises Shai with plenty of new toys.
“It’s only right. It’s the princess.” -Bow Wow.
Bow Wow tells Joie that he’s only been in the studio once and she tells him that he keeps dropping the ball.
“Don’t just talk about it, be about it.” – Joie
The next day, Brandon meets with Deb at her office. He wants to to do an artist showcase. He surprises her when he says the showcase is in eight days. When they go over the artists who are set to perform, she suggests Zonnique. Brandon is totally against this.
“It ain’t gonna happen.” -Brandon
He also invites Deb to be on a panel during the showcase. She reluctantly accepts the invitation.
“Failure is not an option, because if you fail, I fail.” -Deb
Bow Wow set up a date at home with Joie and surprises her with dinner. He feels he was at his best musically when he dated Joie. Joie is impressed by the romantic gesture and they toast to their friendship and Shai.
During the date, Bow Wow lets Joie know he wants to get back together.
“I used to be very immature.” – Bow Wow
Joie is not really sure if she wants another serious relationship with Bow. She isn’t sure if she can trust him because he’s been very inconsistent.
“We just can’t be bouncing back and forth.” – Joie
Bow Wow didn’t like that answer and he tells her that he’s moving on.
Reginae prepares for her birthday party and decides not to invite Brandon.
Reginae is at home getting ready for her party. She has a quick text message conversation with Zonnique in the process.
She tells Zonnique that Lil’ Wayne is coming to the party and she didn’t tell him about Brandon. Toya walks into her room and asks her about the guest list. She tells Toya that Brandon isn’t invited. Toya agrees and doesn’t want any drama with Brandon, especially with Wayne showing up.
Brandon and Reginae clash, again. Reginae calls for backup.
“You know I don’t really think he really has respect. He didn’t have respect for me when he came into the room. So… I don’t want to ever see Brandon again.” – Reginae
Reginae also gives Bow Wow a play by play of what happened during their first argument.
“Yeah, he said he worked with people that could’ve helped my father’s career, one. And two, I’ve never heard of this person before.” -Reginae
Ayana is coaching up Brandon about the night, telling him that Reginae had a really good attitude about everything when they had their talk at the bowling alley. Brandon seemed reassured by this and told Ayana he would be on his best behavior.
Things get turned up quickly when Ayana and Brandon arrive to the dinner. Everyone is cordial towards one another except for Brandon and Reginae. Brandon asks Reginae, “Do I get a hug?” Reginae responds, “I don’t know if I should.” In her green screen interview, Reginae says, “You’re aren’t getting a hug until I hear the magic word, and that’s sorry.”
Once Ayana and Brandon are seated, Brandon and Reginae jumped right back into their beef.
“So, did you plan on coming to my party?” – Reginae
“Well, that depends? Should I come to your party?” – Brandon
Reginae begins to demand an apology. Brandon being Brandon, doesn’t grant that demand.
“I will say that when it’s something that I meant, I don’t think there should be an apology for it.” – Brandon
This causes the two of them to go back and forth with Reginae going on about how she is 18 and can handle Brandon now. Brandon had a clap back that sent Reginae over the edge. When she tells him that her 18 is different, he says; “Your 18 is irrelevant.”
An angry Reginae tells Brandon he can’t come to her party and she storms away from the table to Toya’s room upstairs.
She tells her cousins to go beat up Brandon. Bow Wow, realizing bringing the two together was a mistake, tries to calm down Brandon. Brandon wasn’t having any of that and he storms off from the dinner table.
Eventually, Toya and Reginae enter the elevator with their cousins. Reginae is giving the play by play of what happened downstairs. When Toya is told that Brandon is standing by the words he said about Lil Wayne, she becomes furious.
Once off the elevator, Toya, Reginae and Reginae’s two cousins confront Brandon.
“Now that my cousins are here, you aren’t really saying a lot.” -Reginae
As the episode ends, Toya corners Brandon and prepares to go all the way off.
“See, what you’re not gonna do is mess with [Reginae].” – Toya
Ayana stands in front of Brandon and attempts to shield him from any violence. The episode ends before things escalate even more.
What are your thoughts on the episode?
Toya is such a mess. I didn’t realize that until recently. I always thought she was very mature but my eyes have really been opened. I can’t imagine my mother making the choices she’s been making. My mother has never had a problem checking me and holding me accountable for my mouth and actions. That is why I was able to adjust to being an adult so easily. Reginae is going to struggle when she finds out her parents won’t be able to fight all of her battles.
Yeah she hid her messiness well for a long time.
One minute she says she can handle Brandon because she’s 18, the next she has to run off and call Toya. Mess.
Why didn’t Toya have all this mouth when Memphitz was embarrassing her a-s on TV?
Right!!!!! but from the looks of it, seems like MempHits…went upside her head before…she was acting scary but didn’t seem surprised by his behavior
Lol. And why didn’t Reginae have all that mouth when her school mate mushed her on her snap?
Honestly both Brandon and Reginae are annoying as hell.
Reginae & Brandon are messes….I thought it was funny how it went from 0 to 100 real quick once Brandon said “Your 18 is irrelevant” she is so called Grown but has to call mommy, cousin this and that…..like come on she gonna mess around and get 1 of her fam mbrs hurt doing that.
Reginae is doing the most for a comment even Lil Wayne himself doesn’t care about.
Please explain how handling someone cause you’re 18 now is calling your family members to jump someone. This is how people get hurt. People love to run their mouths and when they get checked then they want to call for back up and shit happens. Toya lost two brothers in street violence, she should def know better. Anyway, I wish someone would drop that brat off in the hood one day. Bet she’ll be quiet after that.
This show has really made it hard for me to like Toya or Reginae. Just saying.
Everyone on this show is annoying with the exception of Tiny, Deb, and JD’s daughter.
