Power Recap: Angela Comes Through + Tommy Comes Clean to Tasha About Holly

Angela’s conscience is starting to eat at her.

Angela goes out for a jog with her sister Paz, but she can’t stop thinking about Ghost’s case.

“You’ve been sprinting like you stole something since we left your place. You wanna tell me what’s going on?” – Paz

Angela tells her sister that she believes Ghost is innocent and she doesn’t think it’s right to sit back and watch him get the death penalty for a crime he didn’t commit.

Paz accuses Angela of still having feelings for Ghost. Angela tells Paz that she’s still angry with him but she has to do the right thing. However, she knows exposing the truth will get her and all of her colleagues in some serious trouble.

Paz tells her to do what she has to do to find out the truth, if Ghost is actually innocent.

Ghost and Silver talk it out.

Ghost is furious that Proctor was removed from the case and he has no problem letting Silver know it.

Silver tells him they need to learn how to trust each other so they can prepare for the assets forfeiture hearing.

He asks Ghost if all of his assets are clean because if not, he doesn’t stand a chance in court.

Ghost assures Silver that Tasha is on top of everything and none of his assets can be linked to killing Greg.

Silver explains that there’s always a chance of a RICO case, but Ghost should be fine if all of his businesses are legit. When he asks Ghost if he has anything to worry about, Ghost says no.

Angela comes clean to Mike.

Angela tells Mike she watched the surveillance tapes from Truth and believes Ghost is innocent since he never hid the gun before his arrest.

Mike tells her he doesn’t care and she should keep her mouth shut so Ghost can be found guilty. He tells her he’s sure Ghost is guilty.

Angela says they should take the tapes to John but Mike strongly objects.

“The tapes are out, period. We’re not risking what chance we have at winning this case on speculation.” – Mike

Saxe and John walk in and they reveal that they found a copy of a seven figure check Tommy wrote to Ghost after they severed their business relationship. They believe it’s proof Tommy paid Ghost to kill Greg.

“This could have been a murder for hire.” – John

“A RICO case.” – Angela

Tony gives Marshall an idea.

Tony is angry that Ghost thwarted his plans, and he gets even by telling the security guard who has been harassing Ghost, Marshall, to consider taking Ghost out before he’s transferred.

Marshall considers it since he hates Ghost and he’s aware that Proctor is behind his transfer.

Silver updates Tasha.

Silver lets Tasha know that Proctor was removed from the case due to his conflict of interest involving Tommy.

He also tells her she may have to testify about their assets and be able to confirm that there is nothing shady going on.

She tells Silver that there’s no funny business when it comes to their assets.

Tasha is nervous about the fact that she may have to testify but Silver assures her that she can do it.

Keisha asks Tommy about Holly.

Keisha and Tommy have pillow talk as they smoke a blunt together.

She’s still concerned about her shop but Tommy assures her that he will look out for her. He also reminds her that Tasha knows what she’s doing.

During their conversation, Tasha sends Tommy a test informing him that Proctor has been removed from the case and she may have to testify.

Keisha lets Tommy know that she really likes him and she questions why things didn’t work out with Holly.

“What happened between you and Holly? I know you said she’s not coming back so I just don’t want to make the same mistake that she did.” – Keisha

Tommy is startled by her question but plays it off by asking her to repeat what she said because he didn’t hear her.

“I’m sorry, you say something?” – Tommy

“Nah.” – Keisha

Tommy later rolls up on Proctor and slams him up against a wall after he sees him walking down the street. He asks Proctor if he left the case because he killed a Homeland Security Agent, but Proctor says that is not the case.

Tommy then brings up the fact that Tasha may have to testify and then reveals that she has been laundering his money into Keisha’s shop.

Proctor then asks if Keisha is also an accomplice, and Tommy confirms such. Proctor lets him know he should have told him this information from the beginning because now the prosecution may be onto them.

Proctor says he has to leave and Tommy then gets a call from Petar.

Tommy tells Petar that the club will be reopening soon. Petar lets him know that his bosses in Chicago are going to want more answers.

Ghost gets a surprise visitor.

Simon Stern comes to pay Ghost a visit. He tells Ghost that he believes he’s innocent and he’s aware that his assets have been frozen.

He offers to loan Ghost some money but Ghost declines and ends their conversation.

“No, I don’t want or need your money.” – Ghost

Angela has another conversation with Proctor.

Proctor takes his daughter out to lunch and tells her he’s going to be spending more time with her now that he’s off the “big case” due to him messing some stuff up.

She asks if he messed up at work because she’s staying with him now, which he assures her isn’t the case and he tells her living with him is the best thing in his life.

Angela then walks in the restaurant and asks if they can talk.

He agrees after his daughter says it’s okay.

Angie tells him that she watched the surveillance tapes and now sees that Ghost is innocent.

“Help me fix this.” – Angela

She tells Proctor that she’s already getting some pushback about the tapes and Proctor then says that it’s odd that he’s the one looked at as the dirty lawyer.

Proctor tells her that one of her colleagues planted the gun at Truth and she needs to talk to Ghost to get all the answers.

After they end their conversation, Angie offers her hand for a handshake and Proctor leaves her hanging.

“Yeah f*cking right.” – Proctor

Tasha puts two and two together.

Tasha has Keisha over to help her find an outfit for court. She’s still nervous about testifying and tells Keisha that the truth about the shop will come out if she’s asked on the stand.

The conversation them become lighthearted as Keisha talks about the new “white boy” she’s seeing.

She says she really likes him but he doesn’t seem to be all that in to her.

When she says he’s been “hitting it right” and he has “flavor,” Tasha tells Keisha that the only guy she knows like that is Tommy.

Keisha then changes the conversation back to outfits for court and Tasha gets suspicious.

Ghost and Angie have another sit-down.

Angela asks Ghost about the finger prints, and he confirms that they are his. He went to Greg’s place after he learned Greg was trying to pin the leak on her and he wanted to recover the Ruiz audio from him to protect Angie.

“I’m being framed for all of this.” – Ghost

Angie questions why she’s supposed to believe him and he tells her he heard her come in and ask Greg how the meeting with MJ went.

He then tells Angie that the phone that was discovered at the crime scene was not there when he was at Greg’s apartment. He believes it was planted.

Angela isn’t exactly buying that Ghost was framed but when asked by Silver what she can do for Ghost, she tells them that her colleagues are trying to put together a RICO case.

She tells them about the check Tommy wrote to Truth. Ghost says it’s BS.

Angela leaves and Ghost tells Silver that the check was a loan used to pay his former security firm.

Silver then asks Ghost if Tasha can testify to that in court, and Ghost asks if that’s there only option.

“Only? No. But I have to say, it may be our best.” – Silver

Julio gets some intel on Dre.

While Julio is having a moment with his girlfriend, he starts getting multiple text messages asking why Cristobal is getting “more bricks” and no one else is.

He then asks out loud why Cristobal is going around telling people he got extra weight form Julio

Julio’s girlfriend then tells him that Cristobal has been going to the club to talk to Andre and she can keep an eye out on things if he wants her to but he says he will handle it.

Tariq confides in Tommy about losing his virginity.

Tariq holds Destiny’s phone number in his hands. She is the young lady he lost his virginity to while he was at Kanan’s party.

Tommy walks in on him and he tells Tommy that Dre took him to the party.

“How old were you when you first had s*x?” – Tariq

He confesses that he lost his virginity but wore a rubber. He wants Tommy not to tell anyone.

Ghost takes the stand.

Ghost is called to the stand and Silver questions him about the check Tommy gave him. He says that it was just a loan to pay his former security company and he’s a legit business man whose money was tied up in an investment with the Bassett Hotel Group.

They take a 30 minute recess.

While waiting on the hearing to reconvene, Tasha is approached by Simon Stern. He lets her know that he’s aware that she and Ghost are struggling financially and he’s willing to help.

“That’s nice of you but we’re good.” – Tasha

Simon hands her his card and tells her to call him if she changes her mind.

Tommy questions Dre.

Dre comes up with the idea to rent out a spot while the club is closed. He also tells Tommy and Petar that the drugs can be delivered through a courier system while they wait for Truth to reopen. Petar thinks the new location is risky and Dre assures him that it’s cool and the women he hired can be trusted. Petar will inform his bosses in Chicago of the plan.

Tommy pulls Dre to the side and asks him why he took Tariq to a party that led to him having s-x.

“I dropped him off at his friend’s house. I ain’t take him to no party. I don’t know what Tariq is talking about.” – Dre

Tommy asks Dre if Tariq is lying and Dre says he’s not saying anything.

Before leaving, he tells Dre to keep him posted on everything Tariq does in the future.

Mike causes problems for Ghost.

Mike starts questioning Ghost as he is on the stand and gives a play by play of how Ghost killed Greg.

Ghost says he wasn’t at Greg’s place and he’s not a killer, but Mike doesn’t let up.

Ghost loses his cool and Silver seems unprepared.

“I didn’t kill Greg!” – Ghost

“I’m curious. How does the client know the victim well enough to call him Greg?” – Mike

With the first day of the hearing not going well, Ghost later questions why Silver allowed him to break down on the stand. Silver tells him that he knew it was a risk and Ghost will need more money to hire experts to dig for more evidence ahead of their trial.

Ghost isn’t sure he has the money and Silver tells him to find a way to get it.

Later on, Ghost works out at the gym and Marshall walks in.

Marshall gets in Ghost’s face and makes some snide remarks about trying to push up on Tasha. This angers Ghost and he hits him.

They being to fight and Ghost uses a weight to bash Marshall’s head in completely until he dies.

Tony and his associate walk in and Tony then strangles his associate after he says it’s been a change of plans.

He gives Ghost clean clothes and they hang his associate’s body to make it look like a murder and suicide.

Angela makes a phone call.

Paz comes by Angie’s place to ask her how things went at the hearing.

Angie tells her it doesn’t look good for Ghost and he will get the death penalty if he goes to trial.

Paz tells her she tried but Angie is disturbed by her sister’s lack of care regarding Ghost’s life.

After tearfully drinking some wine, she picks up the phone to call Silver.

Tasha confronts Tommy, Tommy comes clean about Holly.

Tasha tells Tommy that with everything going on, she needs him to be honest about what happened with Keisha. At first he denies sleeping with her, but finally comes clean after Tasha says Keisha told her he’s been hitting it right.

He confirms he’s not that into her but he has to be honest about what really happened with Holly.

He tells Tasha that Holly isn’t coming back because she’s dead and he killed her because he thought she had Ghost killed after he failed do what he was instructed to do by Lobos.

“Lobos wanted me to kill Ghost and I couldn’t do it. So Holly went ahead and tried to do it herself. I f*cked up. I didn’t know about the baby. I never would have put hands on her if I knew. I thought she killed Ghost. I thought Ghost was dead.” – Tommy

Tasha is devastated by the news but tells him she understands and family has to protect each other.

“I understand why you did what you did. We’re a family. And we protect each other.” – Tasha

“Thank you.” – Tommy

Tommy tells Tasha that he can’t have feelings for another woman after what happened with Holly. She tells him he still has to protect the family, so he has to keep Keisha happy because she could rat on them both.

Angela comes through.

Silver calls for a hearing to dismiss the case, and calls Angela on the stand, much to the surprise of the prosecution team.

Angela confirms that she saw the surveillance video from Truth, and in the video, Ghost never hid the gun. She then says she told Mike about the tapes and he told her he wasn’t going to bring them to Silver’s attention because he didn’t want the prosecution placed in a bad light.

She also says that she told John she was beginning to doubt Ghost is guilty, but he began to leave her out of their strategy sessions.

“Do you now believe that my client is innocent of killing Agent Knox?” – Silver

“Yes, I do. I was wrong. So I have to do whatever it takes to make things right.” – Angela

“Even if it means facing suspension or termination?” – Silver

“Yes.” – Angie

John then approaches the stand to trap Angie.

He questions why she didn’t tell the judge that she had a s*xual relationship with Ghost and Ghost stole evidence from her home regarding Felipe Lobos. The classified information Ghost stole from her included intel on Lobos still being alive.

When the judge asks her if this is true, she says yes and he goes all the way off on Angie and the rest of the prosecution.

He calls for all of them to be suspended and Ghost’s record to be cleared.

He dismisses the charges but without prejudice, so Ghost can be tried again by a different prosecution team.

When Ghost tries to thank Angie, she tells him not to thank her because she knows that although he may not be guilty of killing Greg, he’s done a lot of other dirty deeds.

Things are set into motion.

Tommy gets a text from Petar telling him that he has to go to Chicago because his bosses need to talk. He says it’s urgent and has nothing to do with the new setup Andre proposed.

He heads out.

Kanan goes by Dre’s temporary club, and picks up more money. Dre says he’s done paying Kanan because Kanan needs to leave Tariq alone. H’s convinced Tommy and Tasha will figure everything out soon.

Kanan doesn’t care but his ears perk up after Dre tells him he’s now in the position to help him dethrone Ghost.

“With Milan being dead, your path to the top is wide open.” – Dre

Julio spots them having a conversation outside the door.

As Angela walks out with her things packed in a box, she runs into Mike on the elevator. He tells her there is no need to feel noble because all she did was free a killer.

“Maybe, but not Greg’s killer. I’ll find out whoever murdered Greg and bring them down no matter what. The truth always comes to light.” – Angie

Mike starts to look nervous.

Tasha thanks Silver for saving her family and they hug. It’s pretty obvious there’s an attraction between them. He advises her to look into borrowing some money as they wait for business to get back to usual. He hands over his card and leaves.

Tasha then picks up Simon’s card and gives him a call.

Tariq goes to Kanan’s place looking for him and questions what an unidentified person is doing there.

Tony gives Ghost a phone to give to Tommy. He wants Tommy to call him. He tells Ghost he will let everyone know what really happened to Marshall if he doesn’t hear from Tommy. When Ghost questions if he knows Tommy’s dad, Tony tells him, “You can say something like that.” Ghost takes the phone.

Kanan arrives to his spot and finds Jukebox has already invited herself in. She tells him she tied up Tariq so they can now go forward with their plan to hold him for ransom since Ghost is free. She wants them to kill both Tariq and Ghost. When asked if he’s down, Kanan asks:

“So what you need me to do?”

  1. I’m cool until Angela and Ghost get back together. I just can’t do it after everything that happened.

    1. I was shocked there were no scenes of them together in the previews. I just know it’s happening.

  2. I honestly don’t care for the Kanan and Tariq storyline. Hopefully Kanan will really be killed off this season.

    1. I’m with you. The storyline is boring but I guess it’ll heat up once Ghost finds out Kanan been fukking with his son. This time when he kill his a-s he’ll make sure he’s dead. I want Kanan jealous a-s off the show.

  3. I like that Julio saw Kanan and Dre talking. Now someone can finally tell Tommy Kanan’s a-s is not dead.

  4. Ok time to turn up! I feel like Ghost is going to lose a child this season. Tariq is too obvious so I’m thinking it will be Raina.
