The paparazzi focuses in on Mary Jane and Justin.
Justin and MJ’s relationship has become a staple in the media. This is annoying Justin but MJ tells him it is making them more appealing to viewers.
However, Justin is not fond about being referred to as “Producer Bae” in the press.
“It’s like, he’s serious about his job, you tack a bae on it and then you make his title irrelevant.” – Justin
MJ also points out that Garrett is also treating Justin better since they went public with their relationship. Justin then counters and says that Garrett ha been giving Kara and the other producers the better stories so Justin has more time for photo ops with Mary Jane to spike ratings.
He reminds MJ that he wants to become an executive producer, so they both agree that they should be careful about what they post about their relationship on social media. MJ plans on deleting her Snap Chat to achieve this.
Helen is preparing dinner and ignores the house phone as it continues to ring. Paul, Sr. walks in the kitchen and she tells him it’s just telemarketers. He walks off annoyed and little bit suspicious.
Kara is enjoying a night in and a couple of her fellow wags, Heidi and Lauren, stop by and tell her that she needs some company to make her feel better about her father’s passing. Apparently Orlando’s baseball team is on the road.
They hand her a bottle of alcohol and tell her that they will also be hanging out the next night too.
Kara gives in and gets everyone some glasses.
The media discovers Justin’s wealth.
Back at work, MJ, Justin and the GDU crew are watching a gossip show and Justin’s wealth comes up. They confirm that the hedge fund Justin invested in requires $10 million to join. They declare that MJ isn’t “dating down” with Justin. They then suggest he no longer be referred to as “Producer Bae” and start calling him “Millionaire Bae” instead.
This annoys Justin.
“At least you have a new hashtag.” – MJ
“It’s not funny. This is becoming way too intrusive.” – Justin
MJ tells Justin she knows she has $30 million and he asks her how she knows the exact amount. She comes clean and tells him she saw the statement when she went to his place to get his passport.
“I’m so sorry. It’s really, really wrong.” – MJ
“And yet, you still did it.” – Justin
This angers Justin and he walks away.
Helen starts creeping.
Helen faces herself in the mirror and practices what she will say to her ex lover Frank about him calling the house all day.
“The old telephone trick? You’re wasting your time. You’re barking up the wrong damn tree. That old telephone trick is tired. If you had something to say, you should have said it 40 years ago.” – Helen
Paul, Sr. asks her what she’s doing and she tells him she is getting ready to go to a Jack and Jane meeting. After Paul notes that it’s a little too early for a Jack and Jane meeting, she tells him Ruby wanted to meet early and she won’t be gone long. She begins to head out and Paul points out that she left her purse.
MJ tries to once again talk to Justin before the show starts but he tells her he doesn’t want to talk if it’s not about work. One of MJ’s coworkers, Aaron, asks her if it’s trouble in paradise between them.
Helen meets with her old lover, Frank.
Frank apologizes for leaving Helen and their hometown to reenlist.
He apologizes for leaving her 44 years ago and he says he tried to get her back for ten years but she had gotten with Paul, his best friend.
She tells him she made peace with losing him and she’s in a good place with Paul.
He tells her time heals all wounds but he still misses her.
She gets up to leave but gives in when he asks for one last dance.
MJ once again asks to talk to Justin and he finally gives in.
She tells him she feels terrible for snooping and he says she did it because she doesn’t trust him.
She tells him she trusts him and he tells her the relationship can’t progress if she’s going to be snooping.
He questions why she felt the need to snoop and she tells him that he hasn’t been very open with her.
Justin says he made the money from investing in an up and coming tech company and got lucky. MJ admits she’s insecure about Justin because he’s a unicorn and exceeds all of her expectations. Finally getting everything she wants in a man has made her nervous.
But she’s ready to fully trust him.
He then hands her his iPad and gives her his pass code. He tells her his entire personal life is on the iPad. When he asks for hers, she nervously gives it to him, as well as the pass code.
MJ then tells Aaliyah and Kara she needs to talk.
She tells them she and Justin swapped iPads and she tells them she’s nervous he will find old texts and photos that could cause some problems in their relationship.
Aaliyah tells MJ to delete the messiness from her iCloud account and she tells them they must work fast before Justin realizes she gave him the wrong pass code.
He notices that she’s acting nervous and looks on as she gets assistance at the computer from Aaliyah and Kara.
He then walks in and tells her that the pass code she gave him doesn’t work. She gives him another one and he walks out.
She was able to erase most of the d*ck pics.
Helen is enjoying her day with Frank. They are slow dancing as they begin to question what would have happened if they ended up together.
MJ comes clean.
MJ asks for her iPad and Justin questions if she needs it back so she can erase a few more d*ck pics.
She is caught off guard, but Justin tells her that he doesn’t care about the d*ck pics because he’s confident in his manhood. He tells her he didn’t see the pictures or anything on her iPad anyway, but it was pretty easy to put two and two together.
When MJ asks why he didn’t look at her iPad, he tells her he prefers his relationships unfold organically.
MJ tweets what restaurant she’s taking Justin to later (Tres Simas) and it annoys him but she tells him it’s for a greater purpose.
Helen ends up in a hotel room with Frank.
They passionately kiss.
He slowly undresses her and she tells him she’s not who she was when she was 22 years old and “time has taken its toll” on her body. Frank says she is still a beautiful woman.
He carefully places her down on the bed and they sleep together.
Afterwards, she gets up out the bed and puts her clothes back on, telling Frank what they did was wrong and it won’t happen again.
“This is goodbye Frank. A sweet farewell.” – Helen
MJ goes to Kara and Aaliyah for help, again.
MJ hands Kara Justin’s iPad, and tells her to hold it so she won’t be tempted to look at it.
“Oh he is not going to out mature me.” – MJ
Kara then feels like she won’t be able to resist looking herself, so they get Aaliyah to take it away and she places it in her bag.
Helen comes back home and tells Paul that her Jack and Jane meeting went well. He bought her a new microwave as a surprise and has already installed it.
She thanks him and tells him that she loves him. He returns the sentiment and they hug.
He then tells her he invited Frank over for lunch. Helen gets nervous but plays it off.
The dresses come in for MJ to choose from for her date with Justin.
She tells Kara that it’s important to her to keep building her brand.
She admits that she loves showing off her relationship to the public because it’s the first healthy one she’s ever been in. MJ invites Kara over to help her get ready for her date with Justin, but Kara tells her she’s going out with the wags.
Kara discovers Lauren’s past with Orlando.
Kara is out having drinks with wags, Heidi and Lauren, and has a hot flash. Lauren notices and cooly asks the waiter to bring by some ice and winks at Kara, relieving her.
They then discuss how most men are into booties than breasts. That’s when Heidi drops a bomb.
“Well Orlando clearly is an a*s man, look at the two of you.” – Heidi
This makes Kara very uncomfortable.
MJ outsmarts the media.
Turns out MJ tweeted that she and Justin were going to Tres Simas to throw off the paparazzi. Instead, they go to another restaurant and MJ rented out the whole place so they could have privacy.
Justin is impressed and they start kissing.
MJ and Justin head back to his place after and MJ tells him that the media is now thinking he proposed thanks to the fake tweet.
She then asks him if he’s ever proposed to any of his exes and he says he hasn’t but came close. And he’s only told one woman that he loved her but things just didn’t work out.
She hands him his iPad and he asks her if she’s seen all she wanted to see. She says she will just ask him questions in the future instead of snooping. She then returns his iPad.
Lauren explains her past with Orlando.
Kara and Lauren talk about the fact that she slept with Orlando before him and Kara got together. She says it was just “one drunken night” but she’s happy with her dude (Orlando’s teammate) and she believes Kara and Orlando have something special.
When she tells Kara that the only thing Orlando did was “go down” on her, Kara tells her she doesn’t want to hear any more.
Kara is upset and tells her she needs time to process everything.
MJ brings up Simone and tells Justin she read the letters he kept. He says they were friends for a long time and didn’t date until after college.
He tells MJ he took for granted life back then and he thought he had all the time in the world then.
MJ falls asleep on the couch and he kisses her on the cheek and puts his jacket over her.
Aaliyah updates MJ on Justin’s investment.
“Mary Jane, I got some info on that thing you asked me about. The $30 million…It’s funny because it was from that tech company. Entropy?” – Aaliyah
“Oh, Justin said that he bet on a start up and hot big.” – MJ
“So, he worked there?” – Aaliyah
“No.” – MJ
“I don’t understand because the initial investment was employee stock. It was actually double the amount but it looks like he gave half to charity.” – Aaliyah
“Well how do you get employee stock if you never worked there?” – MJ
“I’m not sure. Maybe you should ask him about it.” – Aaliyah
Aaliyah then tells MJ maybe she should reconsider not looking at Justin’s iPad since none of this is adding up.
Frank comes by and they all discuss how much things have changed.
They talk about the greatness of Tina Turner and toast to being “old friends.”
Kara tells MJ about Lauren sleeping with Orlando nine months ago and tells her it’s weird to be friends with someone who slept with her boo.
She also tells MJ that the hot flashes she was having are a result of the sleeping pills the doctor gave her to help her sleep since her father’s passing.
Paul calls out Helen.
Helen and Paul clean up the table after their lunch date with Frank.
He tells Helen that hearing all those old stories about their days together when they were younger reminded him of the days Helen had a thing for Frank.
Paul tells Helen that he could tell by the way she’s still acting that she is still in love with Frank.
Helen starts crying and tells Paul that Frank means nothing to her and she chooses Paul.
“Look me in my eyes and tell me you didn’t make love to him.” – Paul
“I love you, Paul. You are my lighthouse, my candle. Frank is…he’s always been a match, one I just can’t help from igniting, even when I choose you.” – Helen
“I know love is complicated. But after all this time, when do I get to be your match and your candle? Because you have always been both for me.” – Paul
“I am sorry, Paul.” – Helen
MJ finds out that Justin’s ex Simone is getting dragged on social media and many are declaring that MJ is a major upgrade. MJ feels people are being too cruel on Simone.
After their emotional conversation, Paul hands Helen her suitcase. He wants her to leave the house.
MJ talks to Justin about the backlash Simone is getting. He’s really upset about it and he tells her he’s going to Paris and he’s covering a story because he wants to get away from the media’s antics and focus back on his work.
He tells her her will call her when he lands in Paris and barely remembers to kiss her goodbye.

Very disappointed in Helen.
So now we are seeing where MJ gets her dysfunction from.
I knew Helen was going to slip up. It’s a damn shame.
Helen is messy as f-ck.
It’s like we’re seeing Mary Jane trying to get her life together while Helen’s is falling apart.
Definitely had a feeling Helen was going this route. Damn.
Also, did ya’ll see the preview for next week? I’m calling it now- I think Frank is MJ’s brother’s bio father….I just know it.
Helen is too old to be making these kind of decisions. She’s supposed to have some wisdom now. I am not with this storyline at all.
Justin is growing on me but I’m sure Mary Jane will figure out how to mess this up like she always does.
