Vince claps back at Tamar’s shade and she gets furious.
The episode opens at Tamar and Vince’s house after Tamar’s performance at Union. She is still frustrated over Vince’s handing of the performance. Vince, meanwhile, has moved on and is getting rid of his bigger clothes.
Tamar and Vince end up arguing over Vince’s weight loss desires and his plastic surgery desires. Vince is adamant that the surgery will be safe but Tamar isn’t hearing it. She is very concerned about his blot clotting risk. Eventually, Tamar tries to end the debate and throws some shade at Vince. Vince responds back in kind.
“You go find you a Becky with good hair, who wants a skinny man.” – Tamar
“Sounds good to me.” – Vince
This clap back makes Tamar livid.
Tamar gets the suggestion to go on a trip with Vince to relax.
Later on, Tamar goes get a pedicure with EJ and James. Tamar is finally able to recap what happened at the show and what went wrong. They all agreed that Vince dropped the ball. She then tells them about Vince’s desire to have surgery. EJ and James’ jaws drop when Tamar tells them about Vince’s clap back. Tamar reveals her anger over it because she says he likes white women.
“…Especially when I know you like Becky’s.” – Tamar
James suggests they all go somewhere to relax and decompress, and Tamar suggests Mexico. Despite their beef, she’ll ask Vince if he wants to go.
When she gets home, Tamar cheers Logan up because he gets to help her cook his favorite meal; spaghetti and meatballs.
Then she pours her and Vince a glass of wine, and tells him about her desire for a vacation before they have to get back to focusing on her upcoming record.
“I am willing to put my marriage first…” – Tamar
Vince is still feeling a kind of away after their argument and asks who else is going. She tells Vince EJ and James are going, along with Logan’s friend and his mom. When he asks when she wants to go, Tamar surprises him when she says she book flights for them to go in 24 hours.
Next, Vince goes grocery shopping with Benzino. He’s schooling Benzino on buying organic, and tells him about Tamar’s impromptu Mexico trip. Despite being sprung on with the trip and bringing her friends, Vince is cool with the trip. He invites Benzino but he can’t go. Benzino tells Vince to curve her friends so they can get alone time and Vince agrees.
Tamar has a hair emergency once in Cabo.
Eventually, Tamar and Vince land in Cabo San Lucas with all of her friends. On the way to the hotel, Tamar freaks out and start freaking out over her weave itching. Eventually, they get to their villa and everyone is excited. Tamar is ready to get her weave taken out but James and EJ are sipping cocktails in awe of the villa and their views.
EJ empathized with her and James gets his tools together to operate on her weave that’s irritating her scalp. Vince is with Logan, on the other hand, calm and ready to take him fishing.
James discovers that the blonde dye from the weave is badly irritating Tamar’s scalp. EJ suggests they use apple cider vinegar to soothe her scalp, but it actually causes it to burn even more. All Tamar can do is shake and scream out in horror. But eventually, it worked; her itchiness and scalp pain went away.
Tamar and Vince bond with Logan, and Tamar conquers her fears of fish in water.
Tamar and Vince take Logan out fishing off the coast. Tamar loves the boat and is encouraged to drive.
Once she’s done driving, they stop so they can take Logan swimming. Tamar freaks out before they jump in because she says she is afraid of fish. So they just sit on the ledge of the boat for a while until Tamar gets enough courage to jump into the boat. She jumps off the side of the boat with everyone cheering her on.
While she jumps into the water, Vince and Logan were fishing off the side of the boat. They end up catching a Tuna.
Vince gets furious at dinner and Tamar reveals she feels alone in their marriage.
Later that night, they all head to dinner, but Vince really isn’t happy that EJ and James are there with them. EJ gets excited when his friend Ryan joins them at dinner. Tamar says, “He’s a great spirit.” As Tamar and her friends are having a good time at dinner, Vince gets more annoyed.
When Tamar throws shade at Vince’s Gout condition, he’d had enough and gets up from the table. Tamar says he is upset and will be upset about it for a while.
“He’s an Aquarius. When he get’s mad, he’d be upset for twenty days.” – Tamar
Everyone is still playful until someone jokes Apple Cider Vinegar can cure divorce. Tamar opens up about the stress from her and Vince’s constant clashing. She reveals that she doesn’t want to end up like her parents. She does say that she feels alone in her relationship.
“Where’s my life partner? I don’t want to end up like my parents. Is that too much to ask?” – Tamar
What are your thoughts on the episode?
Their marriage is so toxic. I really hope Tamar doesn’t change her mind on the divorce.
So, initially I thought that Ms. Evelyn was saying all these things bc of the new season of Tamar & Vince to hype up the show for viewership. However, now that I’ve seen the last few episodes of the show it’s apparently true. Tamar does have a very slick mouth however, that’s no justification for Vince abusing her. I will say that she can’t get mad if she tells him to get a “Becky with the good hair” and he replied “ sounds good.” That was a low blow and she needs to show more respect.
