RHOA Recap: Kenya Goes off on the Producers + Even Takes Shots at Cynthia (UPDATE)

Porsha wants to help the victims of Houston.

She says Houston feels like a second home to her, so she really wants to help the victims who have been left devastated by the hurricane.

Her family’s non-profit organization, Hosea Feed the Hungry and the Homeless, is planning to make a difference.

She wanted the other housewives to join her but only Cynthia seems to be slightly interested.

Shamea calls her and tells Porsha she’s interested in helping. But Porsha is still not in a good place with her after they had a fallout at her bridal tea party.

Porsha says she won’t be able to move forward with Shamea until Shamea admits she was trying to embarrass Porsha in front of the rest of the group.

Cynthia and Kandi catch up.

They were supposed to grab a drink with Kenya, but Kenya decides at the last-minute to cancel. Cynthia seems to think it’s so she can be boo’d up with Marc.

Kandi and Cynthia discuss NeNe’s recent event and they both agree the medium was intense.

They also discuss Kenya shutting down Kim and they laugh about it.

Cynthia says that she is going to go to Houston to help out the Hurricane victims. She tells Kandi she may also stop by Porsha’s event to show some support.

Kandi says that no one really wanted to do Porsha’s event for Houston because “no one really likes her.” So she won’t be going since she doesn’t care for Porsha.

Cynthia steps outside when Kenya FaceTimes her.

When Cynthia asks her if Kenya can go to Houston, Kenya says she can’t go because she’s going to be busy.

In a green screen interview, Cynthia says that Kenya has been very busy being a good wife and she’s seeing a lot less of her these days.

When Kandi returns to the table to sit back down with Kandi, Cynthia tells her that it looks like only she and Mal will be able to attend Porsha’s charity event.

Sheree gets another call from Tyrone.

“You know I’m missing you.” – Tyrone

She is still dealing with back pain from the car accident, so that is why she won’t be gong to Houston to help Porsha.

She asks Tyrone why NeNe would call him a con artist.

He asks how long NeNe has been married, and says that NeNe needs to stop coming for him before he exposes her.

“I’m surprised she’s even mentioning my name. She doesn’t want to do that.” – Tyrone

Sheree says that NeNe was trying to hang around Tyrone back when she was doing “The Apprentice.”

She somewhat hints that NeNe was romantically interested in Tyrone before he was locked up.

Porsha and Cynthia make it to Houston.

With Mal and Lauren with them, they make it to a local food bank. This is Porsha’s first charity event for the weekend.

They meet a woman who tells them that she was affected by the hurricane and about 95% people at the food bank lost a lot.

Porsha realizes that she is fortunate to not be in their shoes but she wants to do what she can to help.

She hugs the woman.

Shamea later shows up and hugs Porsha upon arrival.

In a green screen interview, Porsha says it’s a weird way to make amends but she’s happy Shamea came.

Kandi spends some time with Riley, Riley gets emotional when Block calls.

Since Riley has a learner’s permit, they go driving.

After Kandi has to remind Riley to drive on the right side of the road, Riley asks if she can start driving to and from school.

Kandi says it’s too soon because she’s only had her permit for two days.

Riley’s dad Block calls and thanks her for wishing him a happy birthday on social media.

He’s in the hospital because he has a son on the way.

“The king is here.” – Block

In a green screen interview, Kandi says that Riley’s father has been in touch since they met last year.

However, Riley is still a little weird about having a relationship with him.

“Every time he calls, you start acting weird.” – Kandi

When they walk back in the house, Riley starts crying uncontrollably. Kandi questions why she’s upset, but she’s unable to answer.

Kandi then requests to take off her mic and tend to Riley, who doesn’t want to talk about it in front of the cameras.

Kenya changes her mind, Shamea and Porsha make peace.

After doing a quick interview at a radio station, Porsha heads to Cynthia and Mal’s event…a benefit concert for the hurricane victims.

“We’re ready to get down and lift people up.” – Cynthia

Shamea also shows up and they all sit at the table to talk. Both Shamea and Porsha are glad to be in Houston and both are thankful they didn’t allow their issues with one another prevent them from being there.

In a green screen interview, Cynthia says being in Houston with Porsha has afforded her a chance to see a different side of Porsha that she really likes.

Porsha donates $5000 and says Cynthia is like another sister.

Cynthia meets a man who lost his uncle to the hurricane. Cynthia hugs him.

Kenya shows up to the event and Cynthia is surprised and happy to see her.

After the event, Shamea comes by Porsha’s hotel to talk.

She explains to Porsha that she felt like coming to Houston because she knows it’s not about her.

Shamea apologizes for giving Porsha a hard time at her bridal tea party.

Porsha tells Shamea that she felt like she was showing out in front of Kandi and Carmon.

Shamea hears her out and they hug and make up.

Since Kenya has family in Houston and lived there for a short time, she decides to do some work at the Habitat for Humanity.

She invites Cynthia to her charity event and Cynthia accepts the invitation.

Kenya, Cynthia, and Porsha all run into one another in front of the hotel.

Cynthia says she is attending Kenya’s event and Porsha jokes in a green screen interview that now that Kenya is in Houston, she feels like she was Cynthia’s side chick.

Cynthia tells Porsha that she will stop by her second charity event later. Porsha is happy to hear this.

Kandi has another talk with Block.

She goes by his place to have a conversation with him and tells him Riley cried after their last phone conversation.

Kandi feels Riley just isn’t comfortable with Block and doesn’t like him calling on the spot.

Block suggests that he and Kandi work on their relationship because that will make Riley more comfortable. So Kandi suggests they do counseling and he starts telling Riley in advance before he comes by. She feels these changes will make things better.

Both Kenya and Porsha are working hard at their hands on charity events.

Kenya is helping to clean up a neighborhood with Habitat Humanity, while Porsha is feeding victims.

It is brought to Porsha’s attention that there are more than 400 people there and they are starting to run out of food.

“We’re running out of food.”

Porsha breaks down in tears.

Kenya goes off on the producers and drags Cynthia.

At Kenya’s event, Shamea calls to tell her that she’s on the way. However, she doesn’t know how to get there. Kenya gets annoyed and tells her to ask the volunteers because she’s busy cleaning up.

“Shamea, really?” – Kenya

In a green screen interview, Kenya explains her frustration a little more:

“I am not your assistant, Shamea.” – Kenya

Once Shamea arrives, Kenya is cold towards her and turns down her attempts for small talk.

She also tells Shamea she needs to talk less to her and Cynthia so they can get more accomplished.

Porsha finds out that a nearby restaurant is coming by to donate more food. She begins to calm down.

While she is disappointed that Cynthia wasn’t able to come by, she is thankful that they were able to feed 2000 people.

All the ladies go out for dinner. Kenya tells them she will be late.

They discuss all the charity they have been doing.

Lauren calls Cynthia out for not attending Porsha’s second event. She reminds Cynthia that she told Porsha she would come after Kenya’s event but she never showed up.

Porsha makes a joke of it and tells Cynthia she felt like a side chick.

Cynthia denies ever telling Porsha she was coming.

In a green screen interview, Cynthia says Porsha is lucky anyone showed up to her event at all considering her current standing with the rest of the housewives.

Shamea says that she felt Kenya was cold towards her. Cynthia says Kenya wasn’t warm because she was working hard to help clean up for charity.

When Kenya arrives, they discuss how intense Kenya was.

Kenya tells Shamea not to take anything she did personal.

“I thought we were growing.” – Shamea

Kenya seems disinterested in the conversation but continues to listen.

Shamea feels like Kenya was dismissive towards.

In a green screen interview, Kenya says it’s about the people of Houston and not Shamea’s feelings.

“I think you should just give the benefit of the doubt and just let it go. That’s a better look.” – Kenya

Porsha says Kenya should at least try to hear Shamea out.

Cynthia then steps in and tells Kenya that people felt she was rude.

“Well here’s the thing, people felt like you were rude.” – Cynthia

“You were with me the whole time. Nobody was rude to anybody. That’s nonsense.” – Kenya

“You were definitely in your zone. And you were ready to get to work.” – Cynthia

In a green screen interview, she says Shamea is trying to argue that Kenya did something that overshadowed all the good that she did at her charity event.

Kenya says that they are trying to be negative by discussing this and she’s not in the mood.

At this point, Cynthia, Shamea and Lauren say they aren’t trying to be negative. Shamea apologizes for upsetting Kenya.

Kenya says she realizes Shamea is upset and she does want to allow her a moment to discuss her feelings

Shamea says she’s not upset at all and Cynthia says Shamea has to be upset because she’s been talking about the issue the whole time they have been at the restaurant.

“I think that if you’re mean or dismissive or rude…” – Shamea

Kenya gets to her breaking point. She gets up from the table and heads to the restroom. In a green screen interview, Kenya says the old her would have read Shamea for filth, but now that she’s a married woman, she is choosing to just walk away.

She goes off on one of the producers once she gets inside.

“I’m done here. I didn’t come here to constantly be dragged in the mud.” – Kenya

“But Kenya, that’s how they’re feeling…” – producer

“I don’t give a f*ck. I don’t give a f*ck about any of them b*tches. Every time I do something positive, it turns into some bullsh*t. I wasn’t rude to nobody at that event. F*ck these motherf*cking hoes. The whole table is f*cking stupid as sh*t!- Kenya

She goes on to say that this is an example of why Marc doesn’t want to come around any of the housewives.

“I don’t f*cking gotta do sh* t no more! Take my motherf*cking mic off!” – Kenya

Porsha comes to the restroom to check on Kenya. Kenya dismisses her and tells her there is nothing that she can say to her.

She also flips off the camera man.

“See you later! Bye!” – Kenya

In a green screen interview, Porsha says she feels Kenya is getting a dose of her own medicine.

“You can’t be upset with what Shamea’s asking you. You have certainly asked irritating questions.” – Porsha

Porsha leaves the restroom and tells everyone else Kenya had a breakdown and went off on the producers in the restroom.

Kenya then exits the restroom and tells everyone she is leaving.

Cynthia follows behind her to check on her but Kenya gets in the car and says she’s ready to head back to the hotel.

She makes it clear to Cynthia that she doesn’t feel like talking.

“Bye Cyn. This is not a moment.” – Kenya

“I didn’t say it was a moment.” – Cynthia

She rolls up the window on Cynthia and drives off.

What are your thoughts on the episode?

UPDATE: Kenya addressed her actions in the latest episode in an Instagram post:

Thank you @cynthiabailey10 and @mal_bailey I know I was tough that day but you guys stayed focused. Getting that special needs child and her mom back into her home was our intent and not the Made for TV distractions thrown at us to make a positive situation negative to try to rehabilitate someone’s poor image. Cameras never tell the FULL story. @cynthiabailey10 is a true friend who NEVER blindly defends me. She is the toughest person I know and quick to put me in my place. She said I was being rude. She said “she didn’t see all that”. And FYI we all attended @porsha4real Last “event” after gutting our house in 100 degree weather just before it ended. There is no excuse for me being rude to @shameamorton and we later talked at a more appropriate time. I appreciate her efforts. But the nonsense at that table you didn’t see or hear is what I reacted to. Certain people chastising and criticizing Cynthia for not being at certain “events” when NO ONE else would travel to support her. People forcing a reaction and a scene for camera time… that’s what I reacted to. Thank you to @habitatforhumanity whom I’ve always supported and have personally donated building materials and raised over $5k to help underprivileged families afford homes of their own. I’ll take this one on the chin and continue to stay focused and #staywoke #RHOA

  1. This is why we have been asking for Kenya to go since her first season. She is obviously just there for the check and she brings literally nothing to the show but pettiness and fake storylines.

  2. Okay so Cynthia watched the episode like the rest of us. She heard what Kenya really felt about her so the real question is will she have some self respect and stop kissing her butt or will she pretend like it didn’t happen?

  3. Kenya is clearly not Cynthia’s real friend. This show is nothing more than a pay check for her. I say let her go if she wants to leave. I won’t miss her.

  4. Cynthia pay attention to so call friends. Hell she didn’t invite u to her wedding nor tell u about it. Kenya was wrong on Cynthia part. Something going on with kenya im like d***. Is she pregnant or no. She seem emotional and irritated. Kenya did state this not the time too discuss it.

  5. I’m actually surprised Kenya went off the way she did and even Cynthia wasn’t safe. I laughed so hard. But don’t hold your breath waiting on Cynthia to check her about this because she won’t.

  6. This episode was glorious. Kenya’s stans have no idea how to spin this one and Porsha truly did come out on top. All I’m seeing from people online is how horrible of a person Kenya is, how fake Cynthia is and how much people like Porsha. LOL.

  7. I told y’all Kenya is pregnant. So are y’all really going to drag a pregnant woman for being hormonal? If so that’s a new low!

  8. I think this episode is the most honest Kenya has ever been since she’s been on this show. She doesn’t view any of these women as her friends, she is just using this to pay her bills. She no longer wants to be there and it shows. But I’m sure she will blame all of this on editing.

  9. This bish is crazy. I mean she completely snapped for what exactly? Shamea wasn’t even rude to her. Kenya was rude the entire day and acted like she didn’t even want to be in Houston.

  10. What the hell does editing have to do with anything? Producers can only work with what you give them. If you act like a b-tch on film, that is what will be reflected on the episode. We literally saw her be a complete b-tch to Shamea for no reason, and even talk sh-t about Cynthia. That ain’t editing. That’s her once again showing that she has a nasty attitude. But I’m not surprised that all she had to say was “editing” for her annoying a-s stans to defend her.

  11. I know she didn’t say they were forcing a reaction and a scene for camera time when that’s been her M.O. since she came on the show.
