GUHHATL Season 2 Episode 10: Drop The Mic
Da Brat continues to give JD advice about Bow Wow.
The episode begins with JD and Da Brat talking about Bow Wow. JD asks Da Brat if she wants to kick out Bow Wow. She says yes. However, JD will always look at Bow Wow as “a child of So So def.”
Da Brat is concerned that Bow Wow is gonna ultimately crash and burn if he doesn’t calm down.
Ultimately, JD plans to take all of Pimpin’s tracks back from Bow Wow if he doesn’t get his act together.
Waka Flocka comes through in the clutch for Deb.
Meanwhile, Deb Antney is still with the kids at Brown Elementary, the school she adopted. She’s still livid Bow Wow didn’t show up.
The kids’ day and Deb’s event was saved by her son Waka Flocka. All of the kids seemingly were excited by Waka’s visit.
Afterwards, a livid Deb posted a video to Instagram calling out Bow Wow for not attending.
Ayana FaceTimes Reginae as she recovers from her surgery. They talk about Brandon coming out as gay and Deb’s video calling out Bow Wow. Ayana says Brandon was still wrong for the video.
Ayana also says she is done with sticking up for Brandon. Lastly, Reginae invites Ayana to Xscape’s concert to support Zonnique. Se also invites Shaniah.
Da Brat gives Deb advice about Bow Wow.
Later that night, Da Brat and Deb meet. Deb tells Da Brat Brandon moved out of her house. When the conversation gets to Bow Wow, Deb tells Da Brat she’s pissed over him skipping out of the event.
Da Brat tells Deb she needs to put her foot down with Bow Wow and she agrees. So Deb plans to talk to Bow Wow for all of the disrespect he’s had all season.
“I’m sick of his sick a** mouth!” – Da Brat
Shaniah FaceTimes Bow Wow to talk about what happened. Bow Wow told Shaniah that he didn’t appreciate Deb calling him out on social media.
He also says that he never gave her his word that he would show up. A flashback of the dinner is played and Bow Wow did say, “Yes. Absolutely.”
They also talked about Brandon coming out. Lastly, Shaniah asks Bow Wow if she can hear the new record. He tells her that she can’t hear it until she’s 21.
Ayana is at her doctor after the surgery. She’s happy that the surgery was a success. She’s also cleared to attend the Xscape concert.
Deb confronts Bow Wow.
Bow wow is rehearsing songs with Pimpin and they are deciding to roll with Andy or stay with JD. Bow Wow wants JD to understand the urgency of putting this music out. Meanwhile, Bow Wow gets surprised by Deb walking in.
Bow Wow is angry Deb shut down his rehearsal, but he’s nervous about what she has to say. She tells him that those kids were disappointed he didn’t show up.
He told her he got sick and had to get a shot. He tells Deb that he will make it up for their kids.
If he messes up again, Deb tells him, “I will bury you.”
Despite this, they share a laugh and he plays her the record. When Deb leaves, Bow Wow tells JD to be at the studio tomorrow.
Zonnique’s shines bright during her first performance opening for Xscape.
The cast boards a party bus for Zonnique and Xscape’s performance. Ayana tries to avoid Brandon but he makes small talk about the surgery. Ayana isn’t in the mood to talk to Brandon, and texted Deb in kind.
Brandon notices the tension and he says they’re going to talk when ready. Reginae is tickled the drama involving Brandon doesn’t involve heir.
As they are heading to the show, Zonnique and Tiny are greeting fans and preparing for their concert. They made it in time for Zonnique’s performance and the cast enjoys the show.
Zonnique ends the show to a standing ovation and the cast greets her backstage.
JD and Bow Wow get on the same page, finally.
Bow Wow meets Da Brat and JD at the studio and they are eager to hear Bow Wow’s plan behind the record. Bow Wow just wants to drop the record. JD disagrees with it.
Bow Wow says he has four smash records but JD doesn’t feel differently. Da Brat then says she wants to take the records away. Bow Wow calls her crazy.
“You sound crazy. I sound realer than a motherf***a.” – Da Brat
JD then says, “He can shut the s*** down.”
Afterwards, Bow Wow is disappointed he got into it with Brat and JD. He FaceTimes his mom to decompress.
He’s still plans to put out the music, and his mom says to stay loyal.
At the end, he still doesn’t know if JD wants to still be involved with him.
Ayana walks out on Brandon.
Meanwhile, Ayana agreed to meet with Brandon. He invites her out to dinner and she shows up. They jump right into the interview, and Ayana says she doesn’t understand how he can’t realize how he rubs people the wrong way.
They begin to argue about their prospectives over the interview. Ayana thinks he needs to be accountable, “For all the dumb s*** he says.”
She then tells Brandon she doesn’t trust him. She then gets up and leaves the dinner.
“If you can’t take me and don’t want to be around me, that’s absolutely fine. I will love you from a distance.” – Brandon
Back at the studio, Bow Wow sent JD the whole record. JD agrees they have a single for the record. Although JD understands everyone’s frustration, he just wants to get a plan together.
“You did what you had to do. Now I gotta do wha I got to do.” – JD
He then texts Da Brat and tells her that she was right. Da Brat tells him, “Y’all may be good but we still got a problem. It ain’t over!”
What are your thoughts on the episode and the season?
I knew Ayana and Brandon would eventually fall out.
This season was trash.
