Watch: Iyanla Vanzant Works With Woman Who Sold Her Body While Pregnant at 17

On the upcoming episode of “Fix My Life,” Iyanla works with a woman named Jackie. Jackie had 3 kids by the age of 21, birthing her first while in high school.

In a clip for the episode, Jackie explains to Iyanla how her mom kicked her out. However, Jackie’s mom kept her first-born child, Nikki.

Apparently, Jackie and her mom’s relationship soured after giving birth to Nikki, and Jackie’s mom felt Jackie wasn’t mature enough to raise Nikki. This rift between Jackie and her mom affected the relationship between Jackie and her kids.

Well, there’s a disconnect with me and my Kids, I believe.

I got pregnant at 15 in high school. Had 3 kids by the time I was 21.

Well, I had Nikki, my oldest daughter, and I left home so early, I never got a chance to be her mom. You know, do all the things a mom would do with a baby.

Because my momma wouldn’t let me do anything, she just told me, ‘You don’t know what you’re doing. Get somewhere and sit down.’

I could say I was a bad teenager. My momma just came home one day and she said, ‘You don’t like it here, get your stuff, get out and don’t come back.’

I left at 16.

Jackie then reveals that her momma told Nikki that she just walked out on her, which she says isn’t true She also said she got pregnant at age 17, and began to sell her body. She was pregnant with her second child Breana working in a massage parlor. This happened until Jackie reached 5 months in her pregnancy.

Iyanla asks if all of her children know she sold her body. Jackie says, “Yes.”

Iyanla really doesn’t think Jackie’s kids needed to know she ever been in that profession.

There’s a lot of things kids need in life. But few of them need to know that they momma was a h**.
