Van Johnson from “Black Ink Crew Chicago” has been a central point of drama on the show. He’s beefed with 9Mag owner Ryan Henry, accusing him of trashing his booth and firing a gun in the shop.
He’s also argued with his girlfriend Jenn, and even caught her out on a date with another man. Now, he’s being accused of stealing his clothing line ChicagoRilla.
Now Van is being called out and so are the producers of “Black Ink Crew Chicago.
Van has been accused of stealing his clothing line. And producers of the show are being accused of trying to pay folks to come on the show and expose Van.
Former Chicago City Council candidate Faheem Shabazz conducted an interview recently detailing his allegations against Van. He claims Van and Big Fish Entertainment are using Chicagorilla to create drama on the VH1 reality show.
In the interview, Faheem showed off an alleged release form from Big Fish Entertainment Executive Producer Rasheed Daniel. The alleged release form says Big Fish offered to pay Faheem and his two brothers $3,000 each, foregoing their ability to Sue Big Fish, VH1 and Viacom. In return, Faheem and his brothers would confront Van at a Chicagorilla 1-year anniversary party.
Faheem claims Van wore Chicagorilla on the show to show support for Faheem and his brother Suraqah Shabazz. Suraqah appeared on the show in the past as Van’s trainer.

Interestingly enough, current business documents show Chicagorilla being currently managed by Van Johnson and Suraqah Shabazz.
