It’s the day before Mae’s big “Day With Lady Mae” event and she and Maxine are being pampered beforehand. Maxine asks about Mae telling Grace about Lionel. Mae reveals Grace approached her about it after hearing Aaron and is concerned about Grace telling James about the transgression. However, Maxine doesn’t care about that, calling her “Pastor” in the process.

“Oh, you’ll be fine pastor.” – Maxine

At their home, Aaron gets a call from Grace. She approaches him about taking a paternity test. He agrees and mentions he didn’t tell Kevin about it.

Jacob heads over to Tasha’s just as Basie and Rochelle run off with her.

At Tasha’s, Jacob arrives and notices the front door opened. He walks in and screams out for Tasha noticing the place is openly messy. Later on, Grace is with James and her lawyer Elliott going over a strategy to fight the FBI.

Her attorney says he claims he’s senile. However, James scoffs at this because he doesn’t want the trustees taking the church away from him. He then tells James that this is the last moment of his life where he won’t be in prison.

When he leaves the office they both realize that they have to find Tasha and get her to confess to everything.

“There’s no other way.” – Elliott

That evening, Grace and Jacob are staking out Tasha when Kerissa calls. Grace hits Jacob when he tells Grace he and Tasha kissed and as a result, Kerissa thinks Tasha is in love with him.

He changes the subject and asks about Darius. Grace tells them she and Darius aren’t in a good place. Jacob then openly wonders if anyone would care if he and Kerissa did spilt, revealing he still wants her.

Their plan works.

Suddenly, Rochelle approaches with Tasha in the car. They see Tasha forced into the home and they get out to investigate. “You have been nothing but trouble for me, Rochelle.” – Tasha

“But what about Basie? – Rochelle

Before Rochelle leaves, Rochelle tries to pull at Grace emotionally bringing up Mac’s violent demise.

“Let’s see which one of us is sitting on the right side of God on that day…I know what you did in Phoenix!” – Rochelle

Outside, she and Jacob urge Tasha to talk to the FBI.

Zora finally escapes Isaiah.

At Isaiah’s, Zora is fed up and ready to head back to Memphis. She’s tired of how Isaiah’s been treating her and sees the error of her ways. But Isaiah does his best to maintain his power over her.

First he retaliated by calling her boring, in response to what she said about being with him. Then said, “I should’ve stuck in your cousin first, like she wanted.”

When that didn’t stop her from leaving, he pushes the door close and pushes her onto the kitchen island trying to choke her. Zora finally got the upper hand, knocking Isaiah’s head onto the granite counter. This gives her enough time to pull out her phone and record him as she walks out.

Back at Calvary, James heads into Mae’s office to deliver the news about what Jacob and Grace were able to do about Rochelle and Tasha.

Despite this news, James isn’t relieved fully. He reveals to Mae that Connie’s trying to join Philip’s Harmony and Hope Church Network, leaving them out of power.
