GUHHATL Recap: Lil Mama Goes Off + Bow Wow & Kiyomi Make Progress in Therapy

Bow Wow and Kiyomi make progress.

The episode opens with Bow Wow walking out of therapy with Kiyomi. However, instead of leaving the house, he returns to the session after cooling off. When he returned, Bow Wow acknowledged his anger.

“I just want her to know that her spot is secured.” – Bow Wow

The therapist touches a nerve when he brings up their issues are based from childhood trauma. Bow Wow brings up how his father not being there still makes him feel some type of way.

Kiyomi brings up how she had father issues too thanks to her dad being in prison.

“I am the man of my household.” – Kiyomi

She sheds tears as she talks about her childhood without her father. Bow Wow hopes these commonalities would bring them closer together.

Da Brat doesn’t believe Deb is done working with Jhonni Blaze.

Meanwhile, Deb and Da Brat meet up to recap Deb’s trip to Jamaica. When Deb tells her she tried to work with Jhonni, Da Brat side-eyes it.

“It’s like talking to a brick wall.” – Da Brat

Deb tries to tell Da Brat she’s not dealing with her anymore but Da Brat doesn’t believe her. Da Brat’s mood changes when she learns about Deb’s new man. She’s worried her new man will take advantage of Deb as she felt Jhonni did.

Deb’s nervous to introduce Ahmad to Da Brat and her family. She invites Da Brat to a barbecue.

Bow Wow and Kiyomi agree to give it one more shot.

Back at therapy, Bow Wow and Kiyomi seem to make progress towards getting back together. After therapy, Kiyomi says this is the final chance for their relationship to work.

When they meet up to talk one more time by themselves, Bow Wow’s convinced that they won’t work out. However, Kiyomi doesn’t see it that way and wants to work things out. The scene got Kiyomi emotional in her green screen interview and she started shedding tears.

Although things seemed bleak between them, they agreed to give their relationship one more shot.

Lil Mama gets invited to Deb’s Cookout.

Ayana and Lil Mama head to a bar to hang out. Lil Mama’s date with BT went well and she tells Ayana about it. Ayana pointed out how she was flirting with BT at her fashion event. Lil Mama gets invited to Deb’s cookout by Ayana but Lil Mama’s hesitant about hanging out with new people.

Speaking of BT, he’s out shopping with Bow Wow. They talk about BT’s date with Lil Mama. BT brings up how Lil Mama was flirting during their date. Bow Wow wants things to go well with BT as he doesn’t want things to go wrong with Kiyomi. Bow’s convinced Lil Mama wants him. He raises BT’s eyebrows when Bow Wow tells him Lil Mama invited him to New York City.

Bow Wow’s mom doesn’t think Kiyomi should be back with him.

At a garage, Da Brat’s dropping off one her rides when Bow Wow stops by. He tells her his album is done and he had a “situation” with Kiyomi which included therapy.

“You mothaf***as ain’t married. This ain’t marriage boot camp.” – Da Brat

Bow Wow hears from Brat that Kiyomi is clout chasing. She scoffs at Bow Wow saying he approached her because of her voice.

Bow Wow suggests she talks to Kiyomi.

Later on, Kiyomi’s in the studio, paying for her own studio time. She wants to show Bow Wow that she can handle her career on her own. His mom Teresa meets with Kiyomi because she feels its time to step in as his mom.

Theresa doesn’t want Bow Wow dealing with Kiyomi anymore. This leads Theresa to tell Kiyomi that her relationship is a distraction him.

“If anything, I feel like I am a positive light in his life, which he needs.” – Kiyomi

Next, Kiyomi stops by Da Brat’s studio session to chat with her. Da Brat’s immediately impressed with her looks but Da Brat wants to truly know Kiyomi’s true intentions. Da Brat tells Kiyomi that the groupies won’t stop throwing themselves at him.

When it comes to the music, Da Brat tells her she needs to come out with music by herself.

Lil Mama gets angry at Deb asking about the VMA awards controversy.

It’s the night of Deb’s cookout and Ayana brings Lil Mama over. Deb’s really interested in why Lil Mama stormed the VMA stage. But first, Masika introduces herself to Lil Mama. Masika then gets introduced to Ahmad, calling him a troublemaker. That rubs Deb the wrong way.

Deb and Lil Mama finally meet and Deb asks that question about the VMA’s. That really aggravates Lil Mama. She feels disrespected and is ready to go. Deb and Lil Mama end up having a back and forth of sorts over the question. Eventually, Lil Mama walks away wanting her mic to be taken off.

As she leaves, Jhonni Blaze walks in. The episode ends with tension building as Masika stares down Jhonni.
