Most fans of “Black Ink Crew” knew how important it has always been for Sky to have a relationship with both of her children.
While Des has been open to it from day one, his oldest brother Genesis was not.
In fact, Genesis has exploded on Sky in front of the cameras twice. The first time it appeared that he wanted to lay hands on Sky.
This resulted in security intervening and Genesis assaulting security.
On the current season, Des was able to convince Genesis to hear Sky out. So Genesis came to the shop and had a heart to heart with Sky.
In the end, he admitted that he never wanted to assault Sky and he was just very angry she didn’t reach out for so long.
They hugged it out and all appeared to be good finally.
However, on social media, fans have been calling out Genesis because they feel he’s being a bad influence on Des.

Regardless, Genesis doesn’t seem to agree. And he clapped back at one of his critics.
Interestingly enough, it appears that Sky herself is neither following Des or Genesis on Instagram anymore. And neither Des nor Genesis follow Sky anymore.
Now this doesn’t always mean that people aren’t on good terms, but some fans of the show feel that way.
