There’s new developments in Cardi B’s ongoing legal battle with two bartenders.
Months ago, Cardi was accused of ordering her crew to assault both women.
It was reported that one of the women had been accused of sleeping with Offset.
Cardi’s camp denied that she ordered the attack, but the case continues to move forward.
Now TMZ is reporting that the case is heading to a grand jury.
When she was offered a plea deal, she was facing misdemeanors.
However, she turned down the plea deal. The plea deal required she plead guilty to a single misdemeanor. She also had to agree to a conditional discharge, which meant she had to stay out of trouble for a period of time.
The rapper would have dodged jail time but she turned down the deal.
And after further investigation, prosecutors decided to present the case to a grand jury.
So this means the misdemeanor charges could be upgraded.
