Recently, Coko from SWV made headlines for her comments on certain up and coming R&B singers.
Some felt like she was being a hater, while others felt like she has a right to speak on her mind.
On the premiere of “Ladies’ Night,” it’s clear that Coko will have many controversial moments.
She certainly doesn’t hold back when it comes to business dealings for SWV.
The show is centered on Salt-N-Pepa’s tour and they have SWV on board to be their opening acts.
But when Salt-N-Pepa comes to the conclusion that SWV’s hit song “Weak” may not work set wise, Coko is not here for it.
She ends up clashing with her group members, Taj and Lelee when they discuss this.
Here’s how the conversation went down:
Lelee: This is special…the fact that they invited us to tour with them. That’s big!
Taj: And they’re willing to share the stage with us and all…
Coko: So we just supposed to go ahead and ride, right?
Lelee: I don’t take this lightly…
Coko: I know because you’re a groupie.
Lelee: I don’t care.
Coko: See that’s the problem. You don’t care. Girl, bye.
Lelee: We are a business. They are a business…
Coko: Don’t yell at me.
Lelee: Salt N Pepa has done big, huge things…
Coko: So SWV just ain’t nothing?
Lelee: I’m honored to be a part of it.
Coko: That’s the problem. You’re a fan.
Taj: We’re large but we have to recognize…
Coko: That but just killed everything you could say to me…Don’t try to downplay my group.
Taj: No, no. It’s not about downplaying. We’re just talking about the logistics of the song…
Lelee: Don’t make sense.
Coko: Don’t even worry about it. I’m gon say how I feel in the meeting.
Taj: This one right here. I can’t wait til you sit with them girls.
Coko: Oh, they can’t wait to sit with me.
