T-Boz makes an appearance.
The episode begins at JD’s skate party at Cascades. JD’s celebrity friends showed up including T-Boz.
Da Brat and Deb showed up but Brat avoided Deb. Brat wants Deb to keep her focus on the camp and not trying to help Drea Kelly.
Overall, the party goes well and Da Brat takes time to catch up with T-Boz. T-Boz is back in Atlanta as she gets ready for a performance in Tokyo. Da Brat is looking for advice from T-Boz regarding her bankruptcy. Da Brat filed the bankruptcy because her victim who she assaulted with a bottle suffered severe injuries and is seeking help for her medical bills.
Of course, Da Brat is insistent on being unable to pay that debt.
Meanwhile, Tammy and Drea catch up. Drea’s looking for help from Tammy to throw Deb a surprise party. Tammy’s excited to help.
Snoop schools Bow Wow.
Bow Wow didn’t show up to the party because he headed out to LA. His first stop in LA is to meet with his uncle Snoop Dogg. Bow Wow heads by Snoop’s compound.
Bow Wow has tremendous respect for Snoop and takes Snoop’s advice about his behavior in light of his legal drama with Kiyomi. Snoop tells him that he needs to better control his behavior before things get worse, and focus on staying happy.
Bow Wow says anytime Snoop speaks, he listens.
Shaniah returns to Atlanta from school and hangs out with Ayana. As they’re out shopping, they gossip about Ayana’s issues with Brandon. Ayana reiterates that she’s got issues with Brandon and Shaniah feels she could help the reconcile their issues.
However, Ayana is not here for it.
Da Brat and Lisa Raye argue.
Meanwhile, Da Brat goes to see her sister Lisa Raye to talk. She wants to vent to Lisa but doesn’t want the feedback. However, Lisa Raye is going to speak her mind. Da Brat says she feels like she’s in jail because she has to track every dime.
Lisa suggests to Da Brat to complete a vision board and speaks to the power of it. However, Da Brat scoffs at this and this causes an argument. Da Brat only wants her to listen and not feel belittled by Lisa.
During the argument, Da Brat ended up spilling wine on her phone and Lisa Raye took the champagne bottle and poured it down the kitchen sink.
Da Brat wants to leave and Lisa isn’t going to let her leave. Eventually, they both realize the argument is silly and cooler heads prevail.
Shaniah wants to hear out Brandon.
Later on, Shaniah sits down with Brandon to find out his side of the story regarding the beef with him and Ayana. Brandon knows she and Ayana are close but just wants to focus on his friendship with Shaniah.
Brandon tells her that he’s in the fire academy but he didn’t understand the severity of his job. When he said he’s happy saving cats from trees, Shaniah’s guard goes up.
She feels that Brandon just may be lying about this. Ayana comes up next and Brandon says he’s not sure why Ayana isn’t cool with him.
Deb begins to question Brandon.
Its the day of Deb’s surprise party hosted by Drea and she’s excited to host this for Deb. Tammy and Ayana show up and are greeted by Drea and Buku. Teresa also shows up too. Drea and Teresa go way back and are good friends.
Drea tells everyone Deb has been very supportive of her throughout all of her ups and downs. Tammy says Deb’s going to be super happy about it. She also asks Buku about her aspirations and gets told Buku is a songwriter.
However, she tells everyone her career is a struggle because of her father and his fanbase. Teresa says she relates because everyone refers to her as Bow Wow’s mom.
Buku was excited to meet Tammy and loves her attitude.
Deb eventually arrived and was surprised by everyone there. However, she’s a little surprised Da Brat wasn’t there. Brandon also came up and Tammy emphasized that Brandon wasn’t given an invitation. Ayana chimes in and say she doesn’t consider his family and can’t trust him.
Tammy can’t trust him either and feels his place on the show and with Deb benefits him only.
Ayana then asks Deb if he’s really in firefighter school and she’s taken aback by this. Tammy says her heart’s going to be broken if it’s confirmed he isn’t in firefighter school.
Ayana suggests to head to the station Brandon’s training and they all agreed. She also stirs the pot when she tells Tammy in front of everyone that Brandon’s sick of being in Waka Flocka’s shadow.
As Deb listens to Ayana and Tammy, she’s starting to get suspicious of Brandon also.
Waka Flocka’s ready to check Brandon.
After the party, Deb heads with Waka Flocka to Sl*tty Vegan for vegan burgers and to talk Brandon. Waka’s adamant Brandon is lying and scheming.
Waka’s ready to check Brandon. Things aren’t adding up for Deb and she’s going to meet with the leader of Firehouse 19 in Atlanta to finally get answers.
Meanwhile, Waka wants to “take Brandon around the corner” to get the truth out of Brandon.
